JapanMom:  So Div 287/288's (brother divisions who train together) week/day # is 1-2 as of today, right?  That means that is Day 1 will always be on a Monday for those 2 divisions, which makes it easy to keep track of his training weeks!

Remember, the days run 1 through 5 and holidays/weekends don't count.  So 287/288 (brother divisions on the same training schedule) had 1-1 (week 1, day 1) yesterday (Mon).  Be sure to write it down so you can keep up with his weeks!

Not all divisions started yesterday.  Most likely all the ones before 287/288 had already started training before yesterday, but it is possible the 289/290 started about the same time.

Welcome, Vipergirl.  There is a discussion group up top for 285 that you may want to visit to meet some others in your group. But stay on this group too!

I talked to my SR last night.  Yeah!  He is working on his clearance and needed some more information.  He is in Div 287.  He said they just started yesterday as they were waiting for their division to fill.  He said he likes his RDCs and that it is not as bad as he thought is was going to be.  It was great talking to him.

For those unsure of what to do as far as flight plans, I would plan for the whole weekend and if they fly out before you do at least you will have the maximum amount of time with them and if they fly out Fri or Sat and you have never been to the area there are many neat things to see and do around the area.  Better to have the extra time planned and not need all of it than to find out they are there longer than you are, since it is a holiday weekend they may have trouble getting the flights for them to fly out on.  As with the military be flexible.

Good luck to all!!!!!!!!

No, I don't believe they can tell you that.  Just didn't know if things were different for a holiday weekend.

I think your plans are great ones!

There were 13 random photos taken today of divisions. See if you can find your SR

I know that my son has his school in Great Lakes. I called that number to ask a question about liberty. Due to this being a holiday weekend. You can go to WWW.bootcamp.navy.mil

...another scenario.....he MAY have liberty at GL for the weekend!  Forgot that this is Labor Day weekend for this group.  For Memorial Day weekend, a group was to fly out (so they thought) but it was changed to allow them liberty for the entire weekend in GL.  So that is possible because of the holiday.
