One of the things to remember is that when you get a letter and they are sad, hurting, homesick, etc. that by the time you get another letter things will have changed and they are all right.  They go through a lot of changes in BC and so do not stress over some of the things they may write about home to you.

Mapes-I live in Japan.  I am originally from Idaho but have been a Navy Wife for 21 years.  Last year my oldest went to BC for Navy Diver.  He just completed his A school and is now in Little Creek.  It took him a little longer to finish as he had an injury in his arm that put him on medical hold and then the holidays so they did not start another Diver A school class until almost March.  It was nice that it was a wait as it gave his arm a good long time to heal.  My middle son is the one in BC now and he is going to be a CTR.  Yes, we will need to meet at the meet-n-greet if I can stay awake!  LOL my sleep schedule will be all screwed up at that point.

JapanMom-Where are you from?  We are lucky we are within driving distance, is your son or daughter in the diver program? Which ship?  We should meet up at the meet and greet at the Ramada the night before.  My son had his pir may 20th and the Ramada does a nice job. (and they have good wine)

We are in Illinois, we live where Il, Ia and Mo meet!

I also made my reservations for the Navy Lodge.  I stayed there last year and it isn't bad.  Looking forward to the trip...besides my long flight there! :)

DiverMom:  If you aren't seeing "Options" right before "Invite" up top, then you have not been assigned administrator privileges yet.  Once that is done, you click on that, then "Edit Group" and you can get into add on to the title with the division numbers.  It is possible the veryproud will do this.

Hoping that very proud checks in soon and she can add you then.

very proud:  To add divermom and anyone else as an administrator, just go to "Options" by the "Invite" prompt, then click on "Manage Group Members."  A list of all in your group will come up with a check box in front of their names.  "Check" the ones you want as administrators and then the prompt up top "Promote to Administrator".  Then you're done!  Just post their names on the board and also by your group picture-- the names of the administrators.  Thanks so much!

Have you spoken to your SR again?
