veryproud, ((hugs)) to you.  I wish your son all the best.

Ladies, when you are considering booking your flights (which I would do as soon as you can), please don't forget about Southwest airlines.  (If I have already said this on here, please forgive me for repeating it, lol)  They do not charge for changing the dates of your flights, they allow 2 free checked bags and are usually pretty inexpensive in comparison to other airlines.  You could book your flights any time and if something would happen to change the date of their PIR, there is usually no problem changing it without charge.  With all the summer vacationers and it being Labor Day weekend, I wouldn't wait too long if you are able to fly Southwest from your location.  They fly into Milwaukee and Midway in Chicago.

Divermom, diannep had a great suggestion of adding another administrator.  I was an administrator for our PIR group and there was one time, for some weird reason, that I couldn't get in to our account page.  So once I could get in, I added two other members as administrators just in case.

One last suggestion, veryproud.  If you and your husband would like to talk to the "powers that be" up there about your son's situation, please ask your son to request a waiver and add you to this so that you have permission to talk about this.  I know you can't reach him, but maybe drop a letter in the mail to him (it will be forwarded to wherever he is right now)...or hope for another call.  This is important if you and your husband would like to get full details.  They can tell you nothing without your son signing this waiver.

DiverMom:  Thanks so much for stepping up to this.  All this really means is that you have the power to add info to the top of the page if you want/need to, delete inappropriate posts here, like last names if they slip in...etc.  You have full power of the page, except for having your picture icon and name at the top. Veryproud's will stay there as the group creator. Thank you!  If you would like to have another person added as an administrator in addition to you, that is fine.  Veryproud can add as many administrators as she wants to.  So if there are other out there willing to help, please step forward!  :-)

veryproud:  What you should do is include a short paragraph by your flag pik introducing DiverMom as the administrator of the site (and any other ladies who want to join in) should anyone have a need for a post delete or more info added to the page.

@ veryproud, first and foremost, I will keep your son and family in my prayers that he quickly finds his new path & fulfills his goals!  I have no clue as to what it means to be an admin for a site, but I will do what I can to assist.  I am open to any advice/direction from the veterans out there & will do my best to carry on the communication!  Best of luck to you & your family!

veryproud.  I am so sorry...and kind of shocked that an injury that long ago can affect him now??? I'm so sorry.

Ochaos is correct...please don't delete your profile because it will delete the group.  Already happened to one group and Lala had to jump in to start it back up again!  Funny thing is...that same lady came back on and joined Lala's group. Seems that she felt her SR daughter didn't want to stay in touch so she got upset and deleted her profile!  She had no idea it would take the group she created with it.

So....any ladies on here wish to be administrators of this group?  Please post so that veryproud can add you.

Again, veryproud, so very sorry about this...blessings to your family!  Thank you again for starting this group!

veryproud-I am so sorry to hear that. I am going to friend request you.
Here is what you do as far as the group. You need to ask one of the members here to become an administrator. Once you get someone, go to "options" in this group and check "manage group members" . When the list of members comes up, check the new person and "click" "promote to administrator".
This person can now make changes to the group. They can be eliminated/or changed at any time.
We actually recommend this for every group because of possible changes to the creators situation.
If there are any problems just get back on and post.
