Ok, Page.  Sounds like he might be the Recruit Athletic Petty Officer.  That's great!  These are bootcamp leadership positions that they allow them to experience (they are over after bootcamp) which is great experience for them.

The RDCs are their "bosses"---Recruit Divisions Commanders!

rhonda- not sure about while at liberty from RTC, but I think they mean to take with them to A school (if you see them off at airport, along w a few civis and phone, ipod, laptop(maybe). Anyhow, that's my take.

Hello Ladies...I keep seeing reminders to bring your guys their boxer shorts.  I thought I read that they had to stay in their Navy issued clothes while on liberty.  Insight?

@ diannep. Maybe I am i have the title wrong but as far as i know by reading my sons letter he made leadership in the athletic department area. Yes he is bootcamp. Not sure what RDC means?

Angie, not according to where I live and Mapquest.  I did a search because the last thing I would want to do is break the rules after being through bootcamp.  His friend that graduates a week after is also coming home.  Its close but I'm under the 50 miles :)

Thanks, Lala!  No, thinking the fishing trip may need to be postponed....unless we can get this storm to fizzle out!  Pray hard!

Page:  Athletic Petty Officers?  Are you talking about a Recruit position....or the RDCs?

Goodmorning Ladies! Just wondering if anyone has spoke of any of the athletic petty officers in 287? If so I would love to hear about it!

I want all of my southern friends to know that I have you all in my thoughts and prayers. And my hubby is praying for you all even more than me. He and my son are supposed to leave here on Wednesday to come to New Port Richey for a Sword Fishing trip and it is NOT looking too good. I was supposed to come with them but have to sub so I won't be coming. And now, it looks like they may not be coming either. Fingers crossed that it fizzles out and goes away with little to no damage to anyone in it's path.
