Does anyone know how to do a video capture?  I'm trying to get this video and save it.  It was pulled by the Navy years ago because it just gave out too much information about Battle Stations.

As you know, the recruits sign a form (called a Page-13) saying they won't discuss Battle Stations.... Well, this video makes that form useless....

happyfeet.  Message Lala!  She is around, for sure.  You can just click on her "Members" picture icon above and to the right (ribbon pik).

Good morning ladies!

Lala Ribbon Queen are you out there? I am wondering if most people put first or last names on the ribbons? Is it usually silver or gold?

Hope to talk to you soon :)

Thanks Ladies. Still up. I know the phone won't ring now. Another day down.

I understand  I too am missing my daughter, but after reading about all the young ones being separated, I keep remembering no new is good news.  The weather is beautiful, and I missing talking to her, 32 more days, oh how fast can they go?  I keep writing my letters and reading the ones I have, and keep trying to picture her in her uniform on graduation day...  But this isn't stopping the tears, as we usually watch "Army Wives" on Sunday, and it is on right now, and I am watching by myself....

Hugs, Lisa. I know how you feel, some days are better than others. Try to keep busy and hold that image of your sailor at PIR in your mind.

Lisa - sorry your feeling particularly sad today. There are just times when the ache seems more acute. I keep staring at the empty dinning room table......

Really Missing my son today.

I never realized how much a bunch of letters could mean to me. I feel so much better after reading his letters. Being in a military relationship has made me realize a lot. I now appreciate the little things, such as letters, the sound of his voice, a kiss, and even a hug. I can't wait until September 7th..

When my sailor was in boot camp, they didn't get a mid call - my son said that the RDC's said they had to take them to the phones - but didn't have to let them call.  And they only got the 1st call I'm Here and the I'm a Sailor call.  Only 1 in our division got a call because he used the hiemlich manuever on someone choking in mess hall.  So once again - no news is good news - and personally I think if I had gotten that call - it would have made me worse instead of better and my sailor said the same thing - he got over the homesickness and was afraid that if he talked to me - it'd get bad again!
