diannep~ Not too worried.  Yet. I haven't checked my po box today for letter yet because I'm so dang worried about missing the box at the same time haha!

em'smom:  I totally agree with Lala on her advice about unjoining that FB group.  I am also a FB member, but don't do the Navy groups on there.  People seem to feel safer on there...but I'm not sure why...because last names are exposed there (including your SR's last name...a no-no on this site here)...and let's face it, no one really knows if that person really has a SR at RTC or not?  Same as on this site, but at least last names are not on this site....a better security thing.

Navygf:  Doesn't matter how you address your letters to them.  But they have a specific way to address them to you....nice neat all caps!

sharbear/em'smom:  Everyone gets their boxes/form letters at different times.  Sometime they can take up to 3 weeks to arrive.  Remember, they can only send one form letter....so make sure that someone else didn't receive it.  Occasionally, they don't arrive.  If that happens, be sure to ask your SR for the password...he/she writes it in the letter so knows it.  You will need this to get your gate pass for PIR.  The Public Affairs Office will tell you that they will not send out another form letter....

Hoping that all are received soon!

Does everyone mail their form letters same day in the division? I'm in Wisconsin, I don't get it. I'm glad you all got yours but I'm just trying to understand what the hold up is.

I just got my letter! It's official, nothing personal, but I am so happy to see his penmanship. He actually listed "grand parent" as a 4th guest. I guess he didn't want to play favorites and decided to let us work it out. So much for the ID. I am so glad his PIR officially is 9/7. I couldn't last another week.

Momof5: I'm so sorry for you and your son. I know how hard the waiting is. But in the end he is still going to be a Sailor so he should be proud. These kids are amazing young men and women, no matter when they graduate. Welcome to PIR 9/7.

Momof5 I am sorry to hear about your SR. I can only imagine how hard that call and this whole situation was/is for you. Try not to be too disappointed in him he made a mistake and hopefully he learned from it and it will not cause him future problems.
