OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Will be lighting candles when I get home from work today. From another group I had to share.

They need this....****A PRAYER OF MY RECRUIT***
Father, in the coming days I will need YOU, but my recruit will need You more.
Let him perform his task with a sense of duty, not of anger or vengeance.
Let his reflexes be quick and his hands steady.
Let his head be clear and his eyes sharp.
Let his mind and body be strong and his spirit stronger.
Lord, please stand by my recruit and watch his back when he cannot.
Father, I love this recruit of mine!
Take from me, what he needs and give me what he does not.
I will pace the nights, if it means he gets some sleep.
I will deal with the fatigues, if it means he will have energy.
I will carry his fears, if it means it gives him courage.
I will take his pains, if it means he is healthy and whole.
I will take his anger, if it means he is at peace,
Take from me my love and pride and let him feel it.
Let him know that I am with him every step of the way.
Please, take from me what You can;
I give it willingly and with love.
It is all that I have besides my prayers.
Above all, please help my recruit achieve his goal of becoming a U.S. Navy Sailor.
This I ask on bended knees, that which, I cannot do without You.
In Jesus name, Amen

Blessed Sunday!

     "I will extol the Lord at all times;

      His praise will always be on my lips.

      I will glory in the Lord; let the afflicted

      hear and rejoice.  Glorify the Lord with me;

      let us exalt His name together."

Thanks for info. On pins and needles. My son the last to do battle station. The agony of tje wait.

Those divisions who have not done BattleStations will not have called yet.  The only divisions who have completed them so far are 309/310/819.  There will be more divisions going through tomorow (Mon) night.  So the next calls will be on Tues afternoon after 2pm Central time.  The last I'm a Sailor calls will come in on Wed afternoon, same time period.

315/316 will be last to do BattleStations but I have a feeling 2 other brother divisions will be with them.
