Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Ok so my FB buddies are in rare hilarious form this morning.
My friend posted this on her status: OMG!!! Munky just brought it to my attention that you can purchase CASKETS at walmart.com and they will ship them to your HOME... NO SERIOUSLY!!! I am rolling on the floor over here!!! "The services were wonderful, and what a beautiful casket." "Thank you. We got it at Walmart."

And than she commented that they are rolling back the price on them!!!!
Oy vey, it hit a funny bone and I had to share! Caskets at Wallyworld, hahahaha! They have everything!

Anyone have tips for dealing with a 12 hour car ride to GL - with the future in laws? AND sharing a hotel room with them? I'm not so excited.. :)

haha I could put her "friend" with my ex!! NOw talk about NOT wanting to spend time with someone... I was shocked he was even going... that goodness different hotel different flights... sadly, cant be different planets!! Jerk.. dumba... donkey... . sorry... I was just rambling and talking to myself!

Reenie, good news for you. I know how it is to spend time with someone you really don't care for and have to play nice - it sucks.

Reenie.. the good thing about driving the kids, I get to leave them and the teachers deal with them all day! :) SO NO... I'm not driving right now! LOL Soon though... and I'm going to look up that friend and give her a ride to Stephs PIR! Huummpppphhhh

Mitch's Mom - I am so sorry to hear that, that is horrible. :( Your son and your family are all in my prayers. I hope you all stay strong and get through this, but be sure to keep us posted!
