@sailormom,
That massage thing...how was that?! LOL! I don't think even that could relax me through the next 10 days. I left my phone in the car while I was in the grocery store the other day, the WORLD stopped when I realized it wasnt with me. I couldn't concentrate, couldn't get out of the store fast enough, and even got teary after I checked it. Didn't miss a call. But that is as close as I can relate to how Reenie felt. I am with Dianne, I just want her to get a call soo bad!!

Congrats Elaine on your letter and your SR earning two ribbons. Awesome!
Reenie - so sad you missed your call - our support is with you

Just printed out parking passes - woo hoo - almost there.
Wireless internet decided to work again. Go figure. I am not complaining though but at least I don't have to drive 45 min. tomorrow to catch up on N4M (please pray so). I will have to call the cable company when I return from GL to check things out. My SR did everything for me and left his poor mommy (no sense of electronic skills at all) without post it notes on how to do things. He left his games and all the other jazz hooked up when he left and it was up to me to figure how to put things back in some kind of order. So while he is in bc for becoming a sailor, I have been in mine with this nonsense. lol God Help Me.

@Reenie... sorry you missed your phone call... I also carry my blackberry whereever i go... even the restroom..lol..... i turned it off during my massage today and when i turned it back on there was a voice mail ... i was like oh no... but it was from a friend... but i know it was upsetting to you... i just wish mine could make a call this week... hugs....
maybe this weeks letter will be more answers to some of my questions....

Reenie: Can you change your home voicemail to greet her should (God forbid) you miss her call again? I think hearing your voice call her name with a "happy" message would at least be SOMETHING! So sorry that you missed it....but hopefully she will call again soon! If you bought a cell phone real quick like, you could leave that number on your home voicemail for her to call.....along with every Tom Dick and Harry who might call you after getting it too....but maybe it would be worth it just until she gets the number??? Maybe that's a crazy idea...but we all so want you to talk to her!

Yeah Eileen! What'd it say?

LETTER TODAY!! That makes one Saturday and one today. What is up with that?
As of Thursday he did not know when BS was. His school will start the 10th. He has earned the Service ribbon and the Marksmanship ribbon. (See momma smiling from ear to ear. He may have been raised in Texas but as far as I know has only shot a BB gun). This is the best letter yet. On the other hand got a call from my mom today. My brother had to have another stent put in today. He went to the cardiologist and they found an 80% blockage in another artery. He will be in the hospital probably until Thursday. Has not worked for over a month and doesn't know when he can go back. The last I heard he was doing ok. His wedding is set for the 10th of October. He should be doing real good by then. Hope everyone gets lettters this week. Maybe some of them will tell us when BS for each division will begin. Have a great evening.

On driving to PIR and being in line early (by 5:50, Cathi from 9/17 was 12th in line).
Cathi said they do not start letting the cars in until 6:30. So better take breakfast, a good book and good music! Shuttles are the alternative. No waiting in line, at least...not when we went.

I think I will wear my ribbon that LaLa made on me the whole weekend. Well not neccesarliy On me, but maybe pin it to my purse/diaper bag after PIR. If you see me, it is an open invite to wave, come and let me meet you, or just scream at me from accross a room! Feel free to do the same! I know our main focus will be spending time with our soon to be Sailors, and I will respect everyones time. Just want to give you a quick Congratulations hug!
