Got three letters today, one for me, and one for each of my kiddos! I am still composing myself after reading my baby girl her letter from Daddy. Put it straight into her baby book. He confirmed that week 4 day 1 started on Tuesday.
His div has won one flag for academics, and his best friend at BC is from Delaware (name starts with N...not sure if it is last or first name) let me know if anyone in here has an SR that fits that description!!!

txsailorsam: We stayed at Residence Inn and the first shuttle left at 6:30. We were on it and in the bleachers by 7. I was told by a member of the 8/13 group that if you arrive at the gate before 6:30, you will be made to leave since that happened to some who drove.

TXSAILORSAM PIR starts at 9:00 but the gates open at 6:30 --- BE THERE AT 6:30 if at all possible. The line through security is so fast it should make Disneyland jealous but there are still a lot of people. We were there at 6:30 and seated by 7:10. It was a long 2 hour wait but well worth it!

sailorwife welcome to our site. Congrats on your marriage. We are all here to support each other, nothing is too silly or unimportant to ask. So ask away. This site has been my support system and without it I would be so lost. Looking forward to meeting all at PIR.

Hoping for a letter today. Everyone have a great day!

If there is no shuttle, how early do you leave to get to PIR. What time does it start?

@sailorwife-
I am a navy wife too. My husband is the old guy in 946. Are you saying your husband is the RPOC of drill? Congrats if so! Anytime you need to talk, just let us know! Mothers and wives alike, we miss our SR's and we are here to support eachother!

Tifani: There is a Navy Recruit Training Command website (just google that) that has info on it. Also, they are on facebook....put in same name in the search box. Good info on both sites!

bonnie, I went to the base last week and one of the guards at the gate looked so young. I hadn't seen him there before so I quickly asked him how long he had been out of BC. I guess he is an MA and I think he said about 6 months. He didn't even look like he shaved yet!! They make them younger and younger every day. I also think the guys look great in the new digis.

Awww too bad all the SR's are getting sick, especially during hell week. That's gotta suck soooo bad! And my SR is a wiener when he's sick too, big baby. I'm hoping for a letter this weekend. Damned holiday screwed up the flow! lol. Oh well. We can't control everything. Hope everyone has a great night! Let's collectively use our Jedi mind tricks to will calls in this coming week!!! :)
