I'm sorry what does BS21 mean?

Awwww.... Thank you ;o) I would love the link. My husband has researched it quite a bit and we saw that it is very hard to get in. All we can do is say a prayer for our son. Whatever plan god has for our son I know he will do well. Just the not knowing is driving me crazy.

Guestimation here, based on what JessicaB posted earlier and also looking at other PIR dates before us...until further notice (from our recruits) BS21 should start on 9/23. I know we get excited when the calls come in, but the next call we get try to remember to ask your SR if they know when their div goes to BS21. Ask the same in the next letter or card you send.

Thank you ladies for the nice welcome. @ JessicaB-Sailor Mom.... Yes it is Ceremonial Gaurd. I'm trying to learn all this new lingo. My husband is in the Army Reserves and everything is so different. @ LTLY..... I just purchased our plane tickets, reserved a car & motel room this pass weekend. Is it best to download the parking pass and drive to the base the morning of the graduation or should we just ride the shuttle? I was wondering if all of you ladies have been getting letters & phone calls often? I miss my son terribly but am also extremely proud of him ;0) I can't hardly wait for Oct. to come .

Welcome Tifani! First off if you are planning on attending PIR make your hotel arrangements now. Some places are allready full. If you are traveling by air, tickets are increasing in price each day, sometimes by the hour. Consider not purchasing refundable or exchangeable tickets and just get regular ones. If for some reason you have to change your flight, it may be cheeper to pay a fee of $100 or so than purchase ref/ex tix in the first place. Those seem to be running $800 or more per ticket. Prepare to head to PIR at 6am to avoid long lines of traffic. We are all so very excited about this day and soooooo very proud of our future sailors!!! Ask any questions you have and we will all be glad to share our experiences and opinions with you!

I don't know if everyone has a Hobby Lobby around them, but, they carry the Navy scrap book, too.

Hi Everyone, I am brand new here. My son is in Ship 13 Div 323. I have only received 1 letter from him so far. He has been able to write his wife & call her at least once. We recently found out his PIR is 10/1/2010 and can hardly wait. I was wondering if anyone of you have a sailor in my sons Division? If so, what have you heard about the day of graduation? The last letter we received he told us he was waiting to hear if he was accepted into Honor Ceremony School. If he is accepted we will only get to spend 6 hours that day with him. If he isn't we should get to see him all weekend. The waiting and not knowing is hard.

JessicaB, we only have 10 Divisions. Does that make a difference when they start BS21?
Comment by LTLY on September 8, 2010 at 10:16pm
@ckwcas- 946 doesn't know when they have BS21 yet. They kind of throw them in there somewhere during that week. Keep asking your SR in letters to notify you asap. Then let us know so we can post it for everyone.
