Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

We have another son at MEPS tonight. Took his ASVAB and scored well enough for Search and Rescue Swimmer and Navy Diver. I guess whichever one he gets a contract for first is what he'll go for.

even if it was pictures you printed from the computer? I wonder why? I found some cute "greeting card" type of pictures this weekend and printed those out LOL I print them small, like the size of wallet pics and just include them in my letter

I have sent some pictures that I printed out at work. just whatever I could find to hopefully make him feel better. My mom has sent interesting stories from the local newspaper.

On the 10/8 PIR page, they are my friends too! LOL Well, they are talking about things they are sending in their letters..

Small Calendars they printed out from the computer
The questionaires of course
pictures of the animals with a note on them (Miss You, Love You, etc.)
Hmmmm can yall come up with some other stuff!!.

got a letter today as well. was surprised. sounds good still homesick. i was hoping he was getting better but that seems to be slow. doing a lot of PT & IT. stated he was sore bones & muscles. got lots of letters from friends and family and is appreciated. all and all not too bad. yes I also keep the letters in my purse in a ziploc bag so they are clean & I can read them anytime. yes I am a sappy mom.

I tried to text him again, but nothing.... I know, I can go on facebook and friend his sister and get their numbers that way! He's such a sweet boy, good christian gentleman! Both his parents are Pastors... just a good "SCARED" boy now!! LOL

TiffsMom, see if he can text you his mom's or dad's phone numbers. It might help all of you to stay in touch.
