@Elaine- I just printed the story of your SR's recruiter. I will send it to my husband in BC. We had a very hard time with our recruiter and my husband keeps saying "If I am ever a recruiter I will....or I won't...." so I want to give him some encouragement that all aren't like the one he had. Thanks, I am always looking for "stuffers" to put in his letters!

@ bonnie- I found some super cute naturalizers at Dillards! Very comfy heels! Between the walk and hanging on to my two kiddos I need something stable, but I want to look great for my hubby! But I don't really need an excuse to shop for shoes!!

Ladies, start asking your recruits if they know their BStations dates and post on here for LTLY. Hopefully she can get a schedule up top. But the info has to come from your recruits so start asking! They start with the lowest divisions and move up that way. 900 division usually goes on Monday. But just ask in letters and phone calls, then post.

Eileen and Cindy: Such typical responses for the recruits at this stage of bc. BUT it is changing....it will be getting better now. The RDC's know that they have just about 3 weeks to get these recruits ready for BStations....but this 2nd half will still be better than the first part as they have gotten to know each of the recruits. Tears welling up in the eyes is a very common thing.....

Elaine: What a wonderful tribute to that recruiter! He sounds like a guy who goes more than the distance for each of these recruits! Good for him! So great that you will stop by there and bring lunch to them.

The weather varies greatly. It can be anywhere from the 40s to the 70s. It would be best to check the weather patterns the weekend before you go. Right now it is in the 60s.

Dear all, I know that some of you have had bad experiences with your SR's recruiter. Let me tell you about my SR's recruiter. He has been at this particular office for 3 years. My SR and all the others were treated with the greatest respect. He checked up on them at school, texted reminders about DEP meetings, had each DEP'er text him on Monday and Friday. He treated them all the same and so did all the recruiter's in that office. He stood by my son when he was having second thoughts, and was the only one in that office to do so. When my son made up his mind that this was right for him, he spoke with the Officer in Charge of that office and that was that. At the Senior Awards for the end of the school year, he presented each of the DEP'ers a big board with the amount of money that will have been spent on them by the end of their first enlistment in the Navy, including the GI Bill money, Tuition Assistance, training, travel, etc. It is standing against the wall in my SR's bedroom. My SR's recruiter is leaving in October for 30 days leave and then on to Bahrain for about 15 months. When I get back from PIR, my first stop on Monday morning will be to the recruiters office. On Wednesday I am bringing in lunch for them all. That is how much respect I have for my SR's recruiter. I have been in touch with him a few times since BC started. He is always glad to talk to me, even if he is a little busy. He will retire at the end of his deployment to Bahrain. I cannot ever thank him enough for having been my SR's recruiter.
