Ltly... what hotel are you staying in?

I am here reeniegalla...sorta...I should really clean something though. I am trying to figure out how the heck I will get me and my kiddos and all their stuff on and off the plane when we go to PIR. Car seats, carry ons, breast pump, diaper bags, stroller, and then luggage...maybe if I act oblivious to the fact that I will be an inconvenience to the flight staff it will reduce my stress level.

Hi, my son is ship 13 div 324, I got a call from him on my cell last thurs, the 25th around 5 pm eastern time. We got his letter telling us that he would be able to call after he had already called.

Thanks. I am number 100? Now I know there will be at least 100 sailors and their families on PIR day!

Our phone call came today and I missed it, but someone else was home and got to talk to him. He called my cell a couple of times, but I didn't feel it and hear it. Oh well at least he reached someone at home. It would have been horrible to call and not get anyone. Hope you are all getting calls.

So I am re-reading letters from my recruit, his bunk mate is from New York City...anyone have a recruit in div 946 from there? He told me his last name, but I don't want to post it.

Still waiting for call. Hope it comes soon. I sent the youngest son out to do the groceries(thought I might miss his call). I'm sure we will be eating snacks and pop for dinner.LOL

I have a friend on FB who is also 326 and she said her son called too. What time of day did you all get your calls? So I will know when to get ready to pull my bus over!! ???

Jane, ain't technology great. When my SR wrote his first letter, everything about BC "sucked", his words, but today on the phone he sounded much better and said it isn't as bad as when he wrote that letter. Homesickness will do that. All it will take is a great test score, or mail, or doing something they are really good at to turn that tide from gloomy to sunny. He will be helped along by his fellow recruits and that will get him through. Chin up!!! Will keep him in my thoughts and prayers until I hear different. Geez, my list is growing every day. When am I supposed to sleep. Oh yeah, I don't!! At least I wasn't sleeping very well until that phone call today. Now maybe I can. Luv to all. I need to catch up on newspaper and get some TV time.
