Thanks mom4boys. I started getting mail last Thursday. Thinking maybe a call tomorrow since that marks 3 weeks.
I have never booked a flight in my life. Any suggestions on how to get the best rate?

His #1Fan,

My hubby is 13/330 too and mentioned that they were not coming together as they should and that indeed could set them back. Our expected PIR date was the 15th of October too but that they are "pushing" them through more quickly. I am hoping he calls this week, he told me to have the phone close all day WEDNESDAY the 1st! So I will. But as the division gets in trouble that we could be missing out on our calls. Make sure you tell your kids and hubbys to hang up whatever beefs they have with each other at the door and just "getter done!" so we can get our calls!!! I yelled at mine in my letter back to him, lol.

LTLY, I think I am going to wait until after the new year to look for a job. I volunteer on Tuesday at one of the elementary schools in town, there are 6 now I think, and I will need time off for PIR and to visit family at Christmas in Maryland. I also quilt and am working on a Civil War Tribute Quilt that is a year long project. I am so far behind on it that I need to get done with PIR so I can get back to a somewhat normal life. I don't think I will be done with the car business completely. There is a lady that does wholesaling of vehicles, mostly trucks, through our business and I'm sure she will need help moving them from one auction to another. It will keep me busy maybe one day a week. Thanks for asking.

Hi Ladies... don't quote me on this, but the 900 divisions do not train on the same schedule as the 300 divisions. My daughter also said she was a push division and I think the 900 division arrived a week or few days earlier than most of the 300 divisions. My daughter left on August 9.... I think the 900 kids left earlier, so our kids are on a different schedule (I think) maybe Jessica, Dianne, Sobe, Angie... etc. can help me out.

Gmornin!!!
My recruit has been writing week-day on all of his letters, so unless they "rushed" 946 should be on week 3 day 1 today.
Anything is possible, so whoever gets the first word from their recruit, please confirm for us all what week-day they are on.
It might also be a good time to send a large envelope for them to send back letters so they don't get thrown away. Anyone know a good way to do this? Should we send a flat rate envelope and pre-address and pay for it?

Elaine, sorry to hear about your job. Do you have plans for another job?

My husband stated in his letter that his division is a "push" division, PIR would have been Oct. 15th. He stated that if the recruits didnt get it together they would move the PIR to that date instead of Oct 1st. So our weeks are different and it is confusing.
Comment by Rhonda on August 30, 2010 at 10:56am
REENIEGALLA I know what you mean - my daughter was in what they called a "push" division and she was not there 8 weeks from the day she left until graduation. It was a little mind boggling and I worried at first that she was missing out on things she may need until I found out it's a pretty common occurrence.

Thanks for clearing that up, Elaine! I guess my son has a commisary on his small command, not a NEX...since he buys some food there.
