LTLY, you have been through the wringer the last couple of days but you did all the right things. You are going to be a terrific Navy wife. Reaching out is the best thing you could do.Your family will be in my prayers. Your mom must be some woman to wrestle that big truck. I hope things are better for you now and that everyone is safe. First-time sign-up for DEERS never goes easy, been there, done that. Be advised everything will work out. Have a great day!!

BTW, having this place to "fall apart" so that I may keep it together in front of my family and for my husband is what will help me get through. After writing below I feel relieved and am amazed. Thanks N4M!

Thanks to some calming info from Jules, I can breathe!
Becky I am sooo sad for you and your boy. My heart goes out to you, and I hope he can overcome this dissapointment in time.

Last night on the way home from a fabulous fondue dinner with the kids and my mom, we experienced sudden car trouble. The power steering, breaks, guages and all power failed, on the hi-way just before we were to exit on the upper overpass. My mom drove that Dodge 2500 diesel truck like she wasn't taking NO for an answer, got us pointed to a different exit, coasted through an intersection and manhandled that big beast into a parking lot. Sigh of relief! Roadside assistance towed it and Papa came to take us all safely home. About an hour had passed, one kiddo was in bed with a major rash and fever, but sleeping well. The other, playing in her baby einstein jumper, smiling and content. Then suddenly she screams and starts stiffening her body. She was having trouble breathing. My heart fell to the floor as she was turning pale and loosing color in her lips. We called the paramedics, and long story short, we have absolutley no idea what happened but she regained her breathing while they were here and was smiling by the time they left. Of course I didnt sleep and had determined if it happened again we would go straight to the ER. Today she is ok, not eating as much, sleeping alot, but smiling!
So today, after recieving our info to get our mil. ID's we found out that there were some issues with DEERS, and there is a longer story to that. I am so thankful that these events weren't any worse, but totally emotionally SPENT! I did get to speak with my husband briefly while trying to clear up the DEERS enrollment, he was about to freak out when I finally said "It is NOT time to worry, I will let you know when or if that changes, but for now, focus and Don't worry." I have a feeling he will have trouble sleeping tonight and I am sorry for that.
Oh goodness, I have written a book...think I will go cuddle with my munchkins and my momma...and a big bowl of Rocky Road!

Good evening ladies, I have been offline for about two days due to urgent situations. I am requesting prayer because I know the Power, and God has Blessed us through some near tragic situations in the past 24 hours. I can explain more soon and will try to catch up on the posts I have missed in the next day.
I am looking for as much information on establishing Tricare as possible to expidite this process, I have two sick kiddos and have been through the ringer trying to follow the "self-explanitory" (Yeah, right!!) instructions that came with the paperwork. Please, if anyone can be so kind as to emailing me their phone number, I just might need to talk to a real person who knows and understands what I need to do. I have litterally gotten 5 diff versions today (none the same) on what the steps are.

Thanks,
God Bless!

Hello Ladies!! Just popping in to say hello My son Zac's PIR is 8/27 so we are less than a week away from our 'IM A SAILOR' call and our group are on pins and needles. I know that seems like forever to you all right now and it did to us too but it appears you've already got a great group going here.
Just something for you all to read that was awesome for us is My Boot Camp Story.Go to the Forums Link and search it by that title. Its by Becky. Its inserts from her sons letter and it will give you play by play what each week is for your recruits. Hang in there! And good luck to all your Sailors!!
PROUD NAVY MOM!!
