@newnavymom....he didnt say he got in trouble he said "others" but he also made it sound like he no longer had whatever letters he wrote so I have no clue how that all went down.

After hearing so many of you say you got two letters I re-checked the mail and I had another one! This one sounded WAY better and he said he got to take a ten minute shower 2 days in a row since they had "holiday time". He said sometimes they are so mean and yell at them all the time but sometimes they are so nice and "cool". He said some people get yelled at more than others. He keeps making it sound like he has this juicy story to share and the suspense is KILLING me. He also said he got my first 2 letters (dated the 22nd!) AFTER they wrote on Sunday.

Stevie, my son said that the first week was an adjustment, but he said the boot camp activities have been picking up with drills, tests inspections, etc. I guess they are getting used to if thing aren't done just a certain way as my son says, they "hit the black line" That's when they IT (intensive train) them. She'll be okay. I believe they help each other out. I hope you get another letter soon or maybe a phone call!!!!!

Tracye... :( That's crazy. They should just ignore the requests... and still post the division! It's sort of useless to us without that. I'll never find my boy. Boo hiss!

Hi 10/15ers!!!! I miss you all!!! I'm REALLY behind and tried to catch up but I don't think I can... so if there's something important you think I can help with... send me a message... okily dokily?

It's been good to be in California... but I miss home. I'll be back to my regular "happy" routine of mail lady stalking and N4M's posting on Monday.

YAY!!!! For all of you who are getting letters!! I'm so hoping to come home to one... or MORE! I'm praying that my baby won't get his chance to call on Sunday when I can't answer my phone... I'll cry my eyes out!!!

Dillon's Mom!!! Oh My Gosh! I need more... what else did he say? ;)

TOTALLY Off topic... but have you all seen that Geico commercial with the little piggy that cried wee, wee, wee... all the way home... ;) Haha... I love that one! It makes me laugh so hard!!

So did I see correctly that our M&G is at Anastasia's Restaurant? Awesome!!!! Count me in for 4... pretty sure hubby's parents will come with us... so better to be safe than sorry. But if they have a limit... let me know. ;)

We can talk about the ribbon thing next week.

HUGS!!!!

deemedic, LC girlfriend and gmarie1113, I'm so happy for all of you! It's so terrific when you finally receive that letter. You think it is never going to get there! Stevie, don't worry. I'll bet tomorrow you receive a letter! Thank goodness we're finally getting some communication with our families!

Well not only am I bummed about no letter today but also I just looked on facebook for the pic of the week and it seems that because there have been so many specific request for certain divisions they will no longer be posting division numbers along with the pictures after this week....now it's really going to be like finding " where's waldo"
Comment by MeganMcK on September 9, 2010 at 8:12pm

Comment by timsmom submariner on September 9, 2010 at 7:43pm
@ gmarie...is you recruit's name Tim? My son's name is Tim also. I just love hearing about these jobs!
@ LC girlfriend...my son is in the same DIV as yours and I wonder if he was also writing a letter and got in trouble....
@ Dillon's mom....I like that picture...it is great that he has a sense of humor. I told my son to have a sense of humor while he is there.....I asked him to draw a cartoon of what it is like to be in bootcamp.
