GFTTatter, how did you find out that NCHB-1 was sponsoring Div 346?. Do you know if anyone is sponsoring the other divisions?
Wow, you "veterans" are AWESOME!!! What on earth would we have all do without you through this entire process. You have been a wealth of information and a great source of comfort. I think I speak for everyone when I say that we are so thankful that you have been here for us. I, for one, can't thank you enough.
Yeah I feel like the rule should go into effect for new divisions that haven't been formed yet or something. Cause everyone with smaller divisions is assuming an extra or two can come. :/
I heard about the extra people rule as well. They need to change that on the RTC site, cause it still says if there is room they will let extras in. :( I'm going to call public affairs on Monday. That's a little disappointing if extras cant come.
Good morning! More pics are up! NCHB-1 has added pictures to the Div 346 album on Facebook :-) I missed my call yesterday sadly. But I did get to hear her voice on the answering machine LOL
Are they still an extra if one on the list is not going and someone is taking their place?
Ok Ladies. Just heard from someone in the 10/19 PIR group that there is a rule change and extras are not allowed in. I'm very surprised at that. They said for the PIR 10/12 group that no extras could come because of 14 divisions in that group...makes sense...very full PIR hall. But 7 groups is not full...so I'm surprised.
So, for those wanting to take extras to PIR...please call the Public Affairs Office and doublecheck that with them...847-688-2405 M-F You may still want to bring your extras anyway because they can be with your sailor afterwards. But hoping that for these smaller groups, the extras can come.
Once they have "finalized" their guest list a week or two before PIR, we were told they can't change it...however, extras in this group will have no problem getting in. They most likely won't even have to wait until others are seated. This group is 1/2 the size of the largest PIR groups (like 10/12 was). So there will be absolutely no problem with any extras coming to PIR...bring them!
