Okay, thank you Diannep and Lala . . .That clears things up for me. I will try not to worry, but it;s hard . . .and I am a professional worrier! I could teach a class! LOL! BTW, Lala . . .I received my ribbons today and they are beautiful!!! I cannot wait for my Dad to see his -- he will be so proud to wear it, as will I. At least I didn't have to worry about getting them on time! :) Thanks again!
Also there have been lots of families who are already on their way to PIR before they get that call. It used to happen that way a lot more than it does now but it still does happen. It sounds like you should have your call a couple days before so you should be good. Try not to worry, they have trained for this the whole time they have been there and they are ready :-)
CeeJay45, There are normally 2 to 4 divisions going through battle stations each night they have it. Then more the next night. Each division and brother DIV start training on the same day at the beginning and the next day a couple more start. they do that so that not all of them are doing the same thing at the same time. therefore they finish training on different days as well and then do battle stations on different days. All divisions in a PIR group finish within about a week of each other and then all have PIR on the same day. They have all worked out and always stick to their schedule :-)
CeeJay: Yes, they go at different times. But they do go with their brother divisions: 345/346, 347/348, 349/350. 950 doesn't have a brother division.
Yes, they all graduate together on that day. Plan to be there! Calls will come before then.
Ok, so looks like 345/346 went through. Next will be 349/350, but not until next week. Congrats to the new sailors!
I am so confused by all of these posts. Am I to understand that Divisions 345, 346, 347, 348, 349 and 350 all do BS at different times, but graduate together, on 10/26? My son told me which day he is doing BS, but I cannot say on here (correct?) I believe I am allowed to say which day he said I would be getting my phone call, which is 10/23. I certainly hope so, because my dad and I are leaving Vacaville, to go spend the night in San Francisco on 10/24 (because we are flying out on 10/25. Getting a call on 10/23 is cutting it close! The fact that some of you aren't getting calls in a timely manner is making me very, very nervous!!! What are those of us, whose recruits are doing BS next week to do, if we don't get a call, before we have to get on planes to travel to Great Lakes???
There are no BattleStations on Fri or Sat nights...ever. So next one will be next week.
