N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Hey Todd. Haven't heard from my SR tonight, but he may have run out of time on calling card.  Just sent him a new one.  I did get a letter on Thursday dated Oct 1 and it sounded great.  Guys must be coming together.  Someone posted on facebook that their SR called and said his ship was shutting down and Div 415 flagged in everything.. That is GREAT news if Div 415 did flag in everything.  YAY!!!!!

My son just called his gf and she said he mentioned his division was doing great and that he might be able to call the next couple Saturdays?? He told her he had an hour to talk today but they had him get off after 10-15 min. so who knows what's up. She said he was in good spirits and laughing. Funny because his letter we got yesterday said the div was doing "ok" and they had a brutal ITE session last week and weren't allowed to shower after so they slept in their racks all sweaty. Guess they had a good hell week? Anyone else hear from ship 03 div 415? Or any div for that matter.

*here not her

CP:  Last week, a couple of divisions missed their BattleStations and had to do them the night before PIR---up all night and then marching in PIR...UGH.  We were told govt shutdown was the issue.  It caused two divisions in the current PIR group, who were to go through this past week, to plan to go through next week.

Thanks, ladies!  All went well.....very long labor for my daughter in law, but she was a trooper.  Held out to the very end before finally consenting to the epideral....her is a picture of my former sailor son and his new son 'bonding!'  We are grateful that he is a very healthy baby boy!

Someone on FB said that their SR told her in a call today that BS21 was shutdown because of the govt shutdown... anyone know if that is true?
