N4M's Community Guidelines
and
OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Question regarding taking stuff to airport for my son. I am unclear if I'm going to be able to take stuff thru security to give to my son at airport when I meet him there this early morn!#?*

@maejay yes indeed I must agree! Very pleased with the Ceremony and with all the sailors! Enjoyed spending time with my sailor. He was really tired but I see a big change in him. I'm just a little sad it's coming to an end. We leave back to Cali Sunday:( safe travels everyone!

Happy PIRday!

Hope you enjoyed the ceremony.

Have a Blessed time with your new Sailors!

Renfield:  If you left your personal insurance card at home, I assume you had to get rental car insurance which means that your rental agreement is sufficient to get onto the base.

Happy PIR Day!  Enjoy this very special day!

NavySMom&Daughter:  Yes, sadly only sailors have Liberty and if your SR didn't pass the run, he could not complete BattleStations and become a sailor.  Are you in GL?  Are you going to go to PIR just in case to see if his name is on the list?  He could have tried again yesterday and maybe passed (although they normally let them call family when they pass that close to PIR).  I think I for sure would give it a try which I feel sure you are doing.  Hope hope hope his name is on the list!

If not....I know there is great sadness but keep your phone close because maybe he will be allowed to call.  And know that he will have 10-12 more chances in FIT to pass.  No PIR once he misses his own, but he will do BattleStations and then head to A School.  He may have a short Liberty after BattleStations if you live close enough to get there but you won't have much of a headsup for it.  Prayers for your SR!  Keep us posted!

Catsmom509 - the drive was long but it was relaxing and adventurous! Drove from Fort Worth Texas to Muskegee Oklahoma after work Weds. Then up early Thursday and finished our trip here. Got here last night around 730pm. I missed the meet and greet last and couldn't sleep awink last night. Just way to excited and nervous I guess. Can't wait to hold my baby girl! Oops Sailor! Lol.. Thanks again for all that you have done and everyone else.

Renfield - Hope you get this...YOU'RE GOOD. The Rental Agreement acts as your "insurance".

This is from the RTC Family Guide:

Rental Vehicles: If you will be driving a rental car the vehicle gate pass, rental agreement and your driver’s license will suffice.
