WELCOME to PIR 11/16/2012

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Ok veteran moms!! Have any of you ever heard of a religious po?? My son wrote me and the GF that he is the religious po of his division and they get to do a bible study every night before lights out like 10-15 min. He sai he gets to carry a flag and all for PIR.... I am sooo happy doing the HAPPY DANCE!!!! Just thought it was really neat!! He said he knew now why he felt such a calling to go and why he was supposed to be there!!! His division has a verse they go by now. 1 Corinthians :12:26 If one member suffers they all do, But, if one is honored all shall rejoice in it!! He said it just fit them as they go through everything together!!! My son!!! Wow!! Just wow!!! What men they are becoming!! I can't wait for graduation now!!!

milligan:  Yes, I think you are wise to wait and get the official word from RTC on the absentee ballot.

Comment by diannep on October 4, 2012 at 1:44pm

thelostairman:  Would be just for that division (mail held).

Comment by diannep on October 4, 2012 at 1:43pm

Nise:  Your sailor gets 4 guest spots, which are guaranteed.  However, we always encourage you all to bring your extras.  With only 9 divisions in this group, there will be plenty of seats available.  Sometimes the "extras" have to wait for a while before they can enter the hall (you can save seats for them), but sometimes they let them right in.  Make sure your extras have proper ID and get there EARLY, and you shouldn't have a problem!

to diannep thank you for the info.  I called and it had me leave a message. Someone on facebook said just send it but I hesitate till I get official word.

To Lorie-Lees ship 2 div901 - your son sounds just like mine.  He is such a sweet person and he would text me and ask me how my day at work was going.  He tried college about 3 different times and decided he should join the navy.  I had mixed emotions. He and my husband hung out all the time so I think my husband is taking it alot harder than he shows but he is very proud.

so, am i understanding this correct. ship 02 div 901 is having mailed held for punishment?

Comment by thelostairman on October 4, 2012 at 9:05am
I know it's held for the first two weeks but someone had posted it was being held this week as a punishment for someone talking. I wanted to know if the punishment was group wide or just that division.
