OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Got a letter from my SR asking me to send gummy bears and m&m for his RDC along with shoe polish, cotton ball, cleaning cloth and print outs of the talk on our fb page and navy 4 moms blogs. I thought we can't send anything but letters. Is it on to send this stuff? Also said his division isnt working too well as a team (2 on a scale of 1-10) and that his is in an integrated division. Anyone else hear that? Said it wasn't as paid as he thought.

They are still in the very tough time of bootcamp....but soon...usually during training week 4 (in a couple of weeks for this group)...you will see a positive change.  The yelling is not so much then and they have accomplished alot by then with their "goal" in sight....so hang in there and keep writing them lots of encouraging letters!

Hi Ladies,

I was excited to get my call yesterday, but he sounded so down, I wish there was something I could do. I hate hearing him like that. he told me that he could do it, there is only five more weeks left. My heart just shattered into a million pieces when he started to cry. The mom in me wants to go and hug him till the hurt goes away, but I know he has to handle this on his own. It will be better for him in the long run, just ouch.
