Thanks Fire team- Okay no letters for me but his girl got one. He told her he could only write one letter.(perhaps he ran out of time?? because others wrote multiples) and thats okay. He said s2 d901 wrote letters on sunday and he will get to write again on sunday. Yes I cried and now I begin to wait once again.
Lorie-Lee - It will either be O'Hare or Midway. Don't see them flying from Milwaukee ever (but anything could happen)
do we know where the boys fly out of when they leave??
We received a letter today. Looks like he wrote everyone that sent him a letter on Monday Oct 6. His letter was upbeat and had a few lol's in it. He is definitely looking forward to boot camp to be over and see his family. I thought I would cry but I was actually nervous in case he was miserable or sick but he was upbeat and funny. Now for that call.
thats what I tell myself to jojo, crying all the time wont make him get here any faster...lol...... 5 more fridays!! :)
Mike'sMom 09-001 - yes....that's my much, much, much...smaller count down ;-)...so that does it ...5...4...3...2...1!! it's like New Year's ...just EARLIER! lol
Sorry ...I've recently told myself "I know we all miss him...but there can not be any more tears" ...this is my NEW way of thinking and I must say ...It's working much better :)
That's great you were able to hear from your SR....I'm sure he's doing well...if not...next stop ...HOLLYWOOD!! lol
@JoJo - I love the way you think... only 5 more Fridays. That seems easier to tolerate than 34 days :) The phone call was wonderful. It was so reassuring to hear his voice sounding upbeat and strong. Either he's doing well, or has become a pretty good actor!
Hey all,
I'm happy for all who have received letters and or phone calls from their SR's...nothing for me yet ... I've sent out so many of my own.
He registered to vote the same week he left to BC...so this will hopefully be his frist year voting...It's his frist time for that ...I would like to thank martiheg and milligan7ship14div007 for all the info in regards to that ...as of now the state doesn't even show him as a registered voter so I have to wait and see.
In the meantime I've sent him print out of articles and online facts of both recent debates (Presidential & VP) so at least he is caught up with whats going on.
He'll probably think I'm corny but I also sent him several copies of Word Finds Puzzles incase anyone wants to do something different.
Well, time to go stalk the mailman....gotta ask him where he's hiding my mail lol
TGIF...Another Friday's almost past...ONLY 5 MORE TO GO!!
Thanks for the info Milligan.
To martiheg and everyone, I spoke to the head of absentee voting for the Navy and he told me if your sr has received their absentee ballot at home you may send it to your sr or for more information go to www.fvap.gov or email your questions to vote@navy.mil.
