Erika, what div was that? I feel so bad for Them,...... ***NO CARE PACKAGES! I know we want to make them feel less homesick but dont make boot camp any harder for them than it has to be :( poor guys
That is correct zmom, no food or goodies sent to boot camp. The RDC's would enjoy eating it while the whole DIV did IT. Safe the care packages for A-school where they will be loving it :-)
Good morning Navy family, happy friday!!!
For those with questions about absentee ballot voting for their SRs, please call the Voters Assistance number:
847-688-3793
Good Morning Ladies!
Thanks for the voting info, martiheg. Please post what you find out so I can let the other PIR groups know.
Congrats to all you who have recieved letters and phone calls thank you for sharing info with us I have not recieved either phone call or letters yet so it is nice to know they are on there way and to get whatever info I can to tell me what it is like for my SR or how things are going. Keep us posted thanks.
got letters yesterday yay soo happy
BTW everyone, today I called the RTC Public Affairs office about absentee voting for our SRs. They directed me to Voting Assistance Office at 847-688-3793, then press 1 for the Quarterdeck and speak to the Chief. I didn't get to call the Voter office, but the Chief @ the Public Affairs office said that he wasn't sure that at this point, absentee ballots would get there in time, but that the Voting office should have the latest info about how they're handling that. If I get the chance to call tomorrow, I'll post a follow-up.
To Mom&Dad4MattJ ~ I miss the little #$%^&* too! Who'd have thought after all those comments to HIM that he'd miss ME when I'm gone that the tables would be so turned? The ultimate parent/child irony!
And GSDGirl, the cord IS stretched beyond belief but still holding strong. I'm jelly over your three letters (I haven't gotten even one yet). So YOU'RE the one hogging them all, lol!
Brittany ~ hang in there. I know it's SO tough when your husband is away. The days seem endless, the baby seems crankier, no companionship, adult convo or hugs to look forward to after the your sweetie is tucked in. Once night comes and the distractions of the day are done, it's when you feel most lonely. But as diannep said - that'll make the post-PIR hugs that much tighter and sweeter.
No food right His Uncle wants to send peanut brittle to him. I told him not at BC
