for
~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Hey all...I've been quiet lately - fighting off a cold and had NO energy to keep up with social media - just now getting some mojo back. I read about Sarge's Meet and Greet table centerpieces (crafted by us) to help families from like divisions connect since the place is super crowded. So I made one yesterday and am sending and "ALL CALL" if families of divisions 15 and 16 want to connect, to find this centerpiece as a reference and gather around this table. I still have to make my door banner and ribbons. Anyone else have picture to share? I'll probably make the ribbons myself.
Proudmom,
If Chicago style pizza is desired, I've heard Giordano's is good~~ Sure hope I got that spelling right!
Hi Friends!
"Through the Lord's mercies we are not
consumed because His compassions fail not;
They are new every morning; great is Your
faithfulness.."
Lamentations 3:22-23
Stevens of Gurnee is one we have heard about, Proudmom. You can look them up online.
What are the favorite places to take your sailor to eat after PIR? Any suggestions?
I agree with ellen Shawna. Some have not even received calls yet....so you are lucky that you have....no news IS good news in the Navy! They will contact you if there is any change in your SR's PIR date. But I know....we have all been there....we just like to hear their voices and know they are ok!
Shawna, Don't be concerned! You have been very lucky to have received a call every week. Some only hear from their recruit a couple of times during boot camp.
"No news is good news!"
We got a 20 minute call from our sailor on Saturday (Ship 12 Div 17). Everyone was home for Halloween so it was perfect timing! To sum it up: TIRED. But he did say he wouldn't want to be any where else; he does see the light at the end of the tunnel. 18 days to go:)
Good Morning!
