DITTO on the missing the kid part!
And, YES, for ALL of us wearing RED scarves...it will unite us in our growing relationship from N4M. The RED scarf will signify our PIR11232011 group and our personal ribbons can distinguish our divisions...
Can't wait to meet you all with a great big {{{HUG}}} :-)
Kendra - I think since we are such a small PIR that we can all wear red - instead of distinguishing between the divisions it will distinguish us as N4M moms.
I'm hoping that they got to write last Sunday and we see some letters soon! I'm missing my kiddo.

Forever 21 has quite a few red scarves as well
Hi Cheryl, I think I'm just shopping around for a red scarf. 'Tis the season. LL Bean has some really nice ones I can use later as well.
I hear you on the daughter ok-ing T-day dinner with a huge bunch of 'strangers'. Then again, it is beginning to sound way easier than hunting down a dinner place that may be way more expensive than we'd all like. If the weather is funky, at least we all are close enough to pick up our sailors and get them back without the dangers of icy roads. Then again, it could be beautiful and our sailors simply want to get OUT and about..... It's a crap shoot at this point not being able to talk to them :-/
Welcome, Mamajm... Our daughters are in the same ship/division! Diana, where are you getting the red scarves from? I will defininately be ordering the ribbons from La La Ribbon Queen PIR RIbbons. Thanksgiving Day feast with you all sounds wonderful- if that is OK with my daughter.
We stayed at the Navy Lodge and had a room with a kitchen. It was a really small kitchen. They may have a room available for you to have the dinner. I would call them and ask as soon as possible so you can reserve it if they do.
Thanks so much to everyone for all the great comments on the ribbons I am making for you all to wear to PIR. I look forward to making them for you and I know you will all wear them with pride. Anyone else who needs the info on the ribbons just send me a friend request on this site or an email to uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com Thanks again, Lora
Here is a "peek" at PIR, put together by a Navy Mom who owns a production company when her son went through over the summer. I have posted this before, but not sure if on this group? Can't remember...hard to keep up with all of the active PIR groups. But for those who missed it, here it is:
