DianaA....Just a little FYI...there is a restaurant/lounge called Anastasis'a that we all went to and we did not know this till after we were there BUT they have a shuttle that works with some hotels for FREE so you can have some drinks and not worry about driving.  You may want to call Anastasia's there in Waukegan and ask them ahead of time if you all plan on meeting before and after M & G. ( we did our M & G there instead of the Ramada)

mamawalrus:  I do that, but unfortunately not all get the Message to Group!

sjtina@ How are you doing? Long time!  I am doing well, hard to believe I am considered a veteran on here.. I so remember my days and nights glued to N4M in my PIR group.. How is your Sailor doing?

you all have such small division you could wear the same color as suggested.  Remember on PIR, although there are only 4 of your divisions,, there will be plenty of people with family and friends coming. Wearing the scarfs will keep all you N4M's visible to each other.. :)

Alohagirl: Several of us are staying at the Navy Lodge which is way cheaper and super close to the training center. You'll need to drive there though as they don't have a shuttle. I'm coming from So Cal - no flights booked yet as I'm kvetching over leaving Friday or staying until Sunday. I heard our kidlets may have extra liberty due to the holiday week and PIR being such a small, intimate group. We do have members coming from San D......  Most are arriving the Tuesday before. I'm coming in the Monday before with my boys and my ex (happy hour in my room either before or after the Meet N Greet at the Ramada Inn-Waukegan!)

I'd love for our DIVISION 007 fams to pick a scarf color to wear during PIR so we can find each other and show our support......... In fact, as PIR is so small, how 'bout we all wear the same colors????

Yes Lala, I also will be ordering ribbons. I just need to give it about another few days. It's weird, I know, but sometimes I worry about "jinxing" things.  Maybe as soon as I get that first letter, I'll get them ordered.

Also hoping for a letter later this week...the first one!  I was imagining him writing today.  I asked my husband if he thought he went to chapel today.  My husband (who was in Air Force) said he was pretty certain he did.  He even said he bet most of them were there today.  For a couple of reasons....1. A lot of them just need that comfort right now and 2. It's either that or polish their boots :)

You are very welcome and I look forward to making your ribbons. I don't think anyone on this site makes scarves, not that I have heard of. I could if you need me to but, the really cool thing about fleece is you don't have to sew it if it is long enough. Just cut to the desired length and then cut the little fringe pieces. really easy and simple.
