Oooh, real fall colors! Thank you for sharing LaLa! I'll be ordering my ribbons in a day or so. Just need to decide name or Proud Parent/Proud Mom etc......

Does anyone make the scarves on this site? I'm not much of a seamstress these days - lack of time mostly. (I staple hems :-/ )  I like the fleece idea. It's simple and with a ribbon on it should do nicely for a colorful way to find everyone :-)

37 days! Hope to get a letter from my girl this week - or a phone call :-)

Good evening everyone, I am supper excited about making ribbons for everyone in this group who wants them. Just send me a friend request and i will send you the info to place an order.

We had a very busy weekend with a Sweet 16 party for my step-daughter, then we went on the Parkway this afternoon looking at leaves and I just got off the phone with my Sailor. They get to come home for Thanksgiving and they are bringing 2 extra Sailors. One from Washington State. My sailor/daughter is going to find out if their moms are on this site :-) I am so excited they get to come home.

Even with driving all over the Parkway looking at the Fall colors the prettiest tree was in my front yard :-)

Our immediate family filled the 4 person requirement (me, husband, sister, brother) so I have notified girlfriend and favorite Aunt that will in all likelihood be able to get in!!  Both were so excited!!  There is a high school and a college wrestling coach that have expressed interest as well.  I also plan on ordering ribbons for all of us.  I've only seen one or two other mom's on here from my son's division so don't know about the scarf idea.

On another note, last weekend we were in Chicago for the marathon so today will be our first Sunday back at church without our son.  The last time was such an outpouring of love and support for him and us.  I will miss seeing my barefoot drummer at the drumset today. Bracing myself for all that will be asking about him.

Yes, Diana.  This is the smallest PIR group we Navy4Moms veterans have seen on here!  I have been monitoring the PIR groups since about March 2010 and I have never seen one less than 5 divisions (and those are rare).  The good news is that there is plenty of space for "extras" at PIR who want to come see your new sailor, so bring em!  The largest PIR group I have seen on here so far is 14 divisions.

Good morning, everyone!  Have a wonderful day!

Any idea how many graduates there are? There are 2 TG's? 007/008, 801, 902 - does that mean only 4 divisions? FOUR? That seems a small fraction of the division numbers I've seen in the past PIRs....

I LOVE the ribbon and scarf ideas. How about it ladies of DIVISION 007? Wanna pick a color to wear? How about RED as it's winter and close to the holidays? Or Turquoise blue? Or some other bright color? (I look hideous in yellow but if that suits everyone better, I'm game LOL) I'm definitely getting ribbons from LaLa with the division and Aubrey's first name on it or maybe just proud mom.....can't decide yet....but I'd better soon...we're down to 38 days!!!

Hi, mamawalrus.  Good to see you on here!  Since your sailor went through, they no longer allow us to post BattleStations dates on this site....boooo!  So the ladies have to private message them when they hear from their SRs.  I will keep a schedule and send it out.  Sure was alot easier when we could post a schedule in the discussion group....but....we will work with what we are allowed to!  You sure have a handsome sailor!

Hello mamawalrus, its been awhile. How are you doing?
Comment by mamawalrus on October 15, 2011 at 6:17pm

This saying is at the bottom of my scarf where my hand and arm are.  One of the moms in our division made this scarf for about 5 of us in the division..  Very proud mama's we were that day!
