I would like to send my CONGRATULATIONS to all the new Sailors and their families!!!!!! RCOP (div 008, my daughter) and I are very proud of each and every one of them. I was so looking forward to meeting all of her new "Sailor siblings" and their families, but this was not her time. Every word she speaks about bootcamp has been very posotive. (well maybe not so much all of ship 5!) She speaks highly of all she met and worked with during her month of training with her new friends. Please give each of them a xtra hug from us and let them know how very proud of them we are and we are thinking of them on their special day!! Everone enjoy the day and have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!HUGS TO ALL FROM AFAR!!!!!!XOXOXO

Souds like a nice party there in GL.

Yes, I also hope you get an early bedtime.  Although if any of you are like me, you won't sleep much.  I was so excited the night before my son's graduation, that I literally didn't sleep at all.

Comment by diannep on November 22, 2011 at 10:41pm

Ok, bedtime!  You guys have a big day tomorrow!

Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on November 22, 2011 at 9:40pm

It sounds like you all are having a wonderful time. It won't be long now until you finally see your Sailors :-)

I heard you guys are gettting a lot of rain up there. Be very careful driving in Chicago with all the rain. It floods bad and quickly on the streets and interstate. We had to drive through water up to our headlights when the interstate was closed because of flooding. GPS will keep trying to take you back to the interstate and you get back on it thinking it is open again and a mile down the road it closes again. It took us almost 4 hours to get through the city because of the flooding and it was not fun. You don't want to get stuck in a mess like that, especially with your Sailor.

Have a great time at PIR and Happy Thanksgiving to all of you :-)

Kendra - Jenn, "Aloha" and I (with my boys and ex) are leaving here at 6:30. We'll be there between 6:45/7pm. Wait for us!
