Got my Sailor call!! Meg said she is freakishly tired! She says 2 did not pass :( she did sound super tired and happy all in one

Loved hearing my sons voice! He sounded so so tired buy said everyone passed, so that's so good. Now if my plane would just get off the ground, delayed about an hour because of weather into Chicago, geez wouldn't think it would be worse than the monsoon we are having here. So happy everyone is getting their calls. Btw my son had no idea what time it was, lol, he said he is so tired.

Congrats on your new sailor, Diana!  And, strange that you got that letter, but she didn't get an award?  Wondering if it is a "surprise" for her?  That would be so cool!  The section they are speaking of is in the middle of the drill hall. 

Oh, and of course on the name change.  It shouldn't be done until after PIR!  Sorry...didn't mean to insinuate that it should be done now.  I just know that some get on this site after PIR by way of laptops/phones and mentioned that you could do it then...or when you return home!  No big deal.  We just don't want anyone to start another group in addition to this one.  We have had that problem in the past...with ladies setting up another group-(alumni)-for their PIR group when it changes to alumni after PIR anyway.  No problems!

AZK...from what she just told me on the phone, she's not getting an award nor did I see her name. No worries. If they invited us to sit there - I'm taking it if it's still an offer. Don't care either way - it's ALL good!

 

I'll change our group name to ALUMNI of...AFTER PIR....I don't want to jinx it.

I just got my "I'm a Sailor" call!!!!!!! And, my poor baby is sick, sick, sick....fever and all. Can't eat or drink anything but warm liquids :-(  She was NOT about to miss battle stations so she pushed through all of it in spite of wanting to crawl in a hole. SO glad to hear her voice knowing she's but a mile or so from me now. They are all so stoked about graduation. Good vibes for all the "kids" er, SAILORS there.........  I'm off to buy soup, tea, honey and all the mommy fixings to pep her up for her trip to P'Cola on Friday........
