Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but discouraged as their RDC's read this site and can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

It may be worth the $10 per person to not have to haggle with figuring out where it is in the cold, dark night.

Today's PIR pics were SO inspiring...AND they had their navy blues on!

Love that you are making your SR's fav cookies AZK. That's such a sweet touch. Since I have a room with a kitchenette, I may get busy doing something like that on Tuesday since I'm arriving Monday night. It'll keep me busy 'til Wednesday morning!

So looking forward to meeting those of you who can make Sarge's meet and greet. Maybe those of us staying at the Navy Lodge could carpool over? We could private share our cell phones if that is agreeable, in case we need a hand or such along the way. Let me know. Since I'm getting there a day earlier, I'm happy to trouble shoot for you if you need it.....
