Happy 20th birthday today to Thor!!
Hi Cheryl!! It was so awesome meeting you! There is a Pensacola site - not sure if one just for airman. But Tiffani, Diana and I are all members over there now too. It's a little different since all the sailors there are at different places in their education - some are in A school like ours, some are in C school and I think some are stationed there. So there are definately a lot of people who know what is going on over there.
I'll be sending you a private message - can't wait to see the pics - mine were only so-so.
Cheryl, I added a link which is probably on page 2 by now for the Pensacola site.
Is there a group for Pensacola A school- Airman?
Hello to all of you!!!! I have been extremely busy since graduation and have MISSED YOU ALL SO MUCH! Meet & Greet was so much fun getting to see some of you (my pics are FANTASTIC, so send me a private message with your contact info and I'll send you the pics). I miss CB. Haven't heard from her much. I think she is overwhelmed right now. I'm going to find the Pensacola A-school group to get an idea of what she's experiencing.
((((((((HUGS TO YOU ALL))))))))
Kendra -- Thanks! We'll have to have silk flowers; my allergies are so bad we wouldn't make it 5 minutes into a ceremony with real ones. hahaha. My mom does flowers once in a while too, so I think it'll be a mom-daughter project, when we get to it!
Matt seems to have figured out things pretty well so far; he kinda grumbled when I asked if others from his boot camp could text him if they need help...but he's fine now. I told him he doesn't have to hold their hands, just be there to let them vent or ask a "stupid" question once in a while. Sometimes he is so stubborn, I swear... :p
Thanks Diana! :) I know Matt's got something up his sleeve for the holidays, but how he plans on actually asking the question without being here is the real interesting part. haha.
If my plans work out for next semester, I'll be joining everyone else in the Early Riser club. I suppose it's about time I stop sleeping until 11:30 every day..
Of course you can have my address! Yayyyy. I love getting mail. Haha.
Hello my lovies....sounds like all of our kidlets are hitting the wall of what it's like to grow up. In a way, bootcamp was easy compared to now having to figure all this out on their own. So sorry to hear Meg is hitting a rough patch. Where is she, Kendra? Corry Station? Or the air base? Aubrey was separated from her 'homeys'.... She is feeling swamped but said they are all in the 'same boat'...and I could hear it on the other end of the line as they were all trying to figure out leave, flights, quals, etc. They have each other now - I think all we can do is cheer them on from the sidelines. Tough as it is - I KNOW they ALL will settle in just fine. A few months from now (or sooner), we'll be hearing them singing a different tune.
CONGRATS Jo!! Something so sweet to look forward to :-)
Jenn: What day does B fly home? A is using San D airport. Her return flight is 6 bloody AM the day after Christmas :-/ Ah well........ Guess I'm learning the ways of early start days, too lol
Quals - those are all those little things the new sailors need to get under way as they settle in and begin their schooling. Passing those gives them the liberties of wearing civilian clothes, more time off base, further miles away from base, and other such privileges. This is where the men and women are separated from boys and girls - are they willing to do the work? This is how someone else shared it with me.....
So ladies - please private message me your mailing addresses? 'Tis the season ya know ;-)
Hugs and love,
d
