Good Morning to all you moms out there....Have a great (and grateful!!) weekend!
Today and always I am Thankful that so many choose to give themselves freely to our country in order to protect the freedom of not only their own families but the freedom of complete strangers as well. I am blessed to have two Sailors, my daughter and son-in-law who have made this choice and I love them with all my heart and soul. But I also love all of you and your families who have chosen to protect us as well. Thank you so much for your service to our country whether you are a military service member, retired service member, veteran, or family who stands behind them. God Bless you all and Happy Veterans Day. Lora
My Sailors <3
Yes Kendra you still have time to place an order and get them before you leave. I ship within 24 hours after receiving your info and you can pay with PayPal even if you don't have an account. You could have your ribbons by Wednesday or Thursday this coming week. Just send me the friend request or message and I will send you the info you need. Thanks :-)
Yeah Diana, I am subbing again. I did it for 7 years and during that time I went to college and got my K-6 teaching degree but there were no teaching jobs in my area, especially for a teacher who has not had her own classroom. So when I graduated I went back to work in Finance and had a great job. But, my boss got cancer and passed away 3 years later and when they replaced him the new finance person decided she didn't need an assistant so my position was eliminated. The same week I found out I had to have a hysterectomy and I signed the papers on purchasing my new house. You know what they say when it rains it pours. A few months later my daughter joined the Navy and I was at home, still jobless and I guess when one door closes God opens a window. So here I am on this site, at first surviving my daughter being gone and now still here helping others through this experience and making ribbons for anyone who wants them. It still amazes me how much of our lives can change in such a short time. I am so thankful that I found this site. No one in my family understood why I cried every day and everyone on this site understood. It has been a blessing to me and my family in so many ways :-)
As for my 3rd graders today, they are known in the school as the worst behaved class in the whole school. But I didn't have any problems with them at all. I talked to them when I first got there, told them a little about me, about my family and my Sailors (of course it very cool to 3rd graders that I have a daughter who has a job launching F-18 fighter jets lol), I let them know I was not new at subbing and I knew how smart 3rd graders are and how I was proud to get to teach them. I also told them I knew the rules and as long as they did what was expected we would have a good day and we did. That school now thinks I am a miracle worker lol because they were so well behaved.
It was a good day and I am happy to see that more of you have received your ribbons and that you love them :-)
When will the divisions know about battlestation dates? Since there are only four divisions, will they be earlier that some we've read about? Some families 'get the call' after arriving or on the way to GL.
