PIR question for veteran PIR moms: Is there only one garage-(for lack of a better word) door that the sailors enter for PIR? Or is there a door in front of each set of bleachers? Where is the best place to park ourselves so our sailors can quickly find us and we get the best view? Oh my goodness.... TWO WEEKS!!!!!!
Dang…I’m getting lost! LOL I was supposed to check someone’s CD clock and also post a blog comment explaining "Liberty vs. Leave"…can’t remember where! So I am just going to post it! It’ll be in the Discussion Forum Ladies. Please check your CD Clocks…I will try too but may not get the chance for a while…setting up 01/06 PIR today hopefully (Yay!) they’re supposed to be set for 9 AM PIR day…thanks!
Thank you for sharing Jenn, that is too funny about the winter blues, sounds like something my son would say. Sending prayers your way for the ear, if they say he will be fine and they havent sent him to the sick ship then I bet it all will be good.
@Kendra, sending prayers your way also, hoping that ankle heals quickly or enough so she can get that run in.
Checked my mail on the way out today and had 2! letters from my SR. They had been sitting in there since Friday - It seems they must be getting a little more writing time so YAY!! The funniest thing he's written to me so far:
"But we were fitted in our winter blues not too long ago, and I can honestly say that 17 buttons and a string in the front of your pants is a stupid idea when you could have 1 button and a zipper. Whoever designed those has way too much time on thier hands."
Cracked me up! He also said that if I see him in his blues that he thinks I'd be proud - awww - silly kid - I'm proud no matter what he wears. He did say he was feeling better but his hearing in the ear still isn't great - but they have assured him that it will improve and it isn't something they would separate him over. I'm keeping prayers going on that one because I've read too many horror stories about separations that occur at the end of boot camp. So I'm freaking out a little about that.
I can't believe that at this time in 2 weeks I'll be on a plane on my way!!!! I am so excited.
@Kendra- LOL!! Meg probably wants you to write her rackmate enough to make her feel good, but not so much that it equals the same attention you give yor baby girl :-) And Im with you on the THIRD book of stamps-LOL (overdo it... is that possible????) ALL OF THE SRs are in my prayers, and Im saying a special prayer from Meg to overpower the ankle pain during her runs. BTW- Thanks for putting in the call to your Master Chief Sister for trivia - we NEED pics!!! :-)
@RK: Thank goodness you and SRs girlfriend will be coming to and surprising your son at PIR! Just the thought of it makes my heart swell.
@Diana: Please let us know how your SRs interview went.... that makes all of us feel so proud- for her AND for you:-)
@Jenn: Thank you for sharing with your son that CB plans to get baptized there and to congratulate her- I know this memory will be cherished forever because of her 007/008/801/902 Division friends love and support during her baptism and the growth they are all experiencing together. I SHARE THIS WITH ALL OF MY N4M FRIENDS HERE!! THANK EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU. You make my days so much easier and enjoyable.
Trivia Tuesday is coming up.... good luck friends!!!! Lets earn a pic for our SRs!!!
