RK....I love that you are surprising your son!! What a special memory that will be for all of you.
Congrats to all you moms getting such great news from your SR's!!
I just can't believe that Battle Stations and Captains Cup are "right around the corner"!!
Awesome Navywife. So much fun to hear from your SR.
Red scarf......it's a way we can identify each other at PIR!!
My husband also had no one at his boot camp graduation in the Air Force. I can't wait for him to experience his son's PIR!!
Did I miss something about the red scarf? Is everyone wearing one?
The good news.....we got a letter today!
RK....my husband didn't have anyone at his boot camp graduation and he has always said it was one of the lowest days of his life. Your son will be so glad you came.
Oh I got my red scarf at Old Navy as well!
Getting closer! Remember Trivia Tuesday tomorrow. Thanks Jenn, his fiance just told me what he won, he beat everyone in his division and the other division in the 1.5 mile run and came in 5th against the 801 division. So that's why he got to make a call, he send he wants to run it in under 9 minutes, we shall see.
Found my red scarf at Old Navy, it will go nicely with my ribbon. Now need to get some warmer clothes, Oregon get's cold but we don't get that wind (well not where I live anyway). Hope everyone's Monday was great.
Hey everyone. Wow - a lot goes on here over the weekend!
RK - So glad you are going to PIR! I think your SR will be so surprised. We N4M ladies are wearing red scarves to identify one another as N4M people so please feel free to do that.
Lucky 008ers!! My SR said that your div was doing pretty good from the start so I'm so happy that it paid off and you all got a phone call!! That is awesome! And they got goodies too. So happy for them. I hope it inspired 007 to pick it up some!
Cheryl - I think it is awesome that CB will be getting baptized at bootcamp - and that she really wants to do it this way. It says a lot about how she feels about her division family. I just finished up a letter to my son and told him to be sure to congratulate her and let her know that thier moms are friends on the "mom site" as my son calls it.
Diana - I am so impressed by your daughter. Congratulations!! I hope that she rocks that interview and gets special honors. That is so fabulous.
Tiffani - Woo Hoo!!! Way to go on your son winning his... whatever it was that he won - my memory is going and I can't remember what I read a few pages back - regardless - that is awesome. How great!
I'm sure there is more to comment on but I just can't remember it all. Can you all believe that in 2 weeks we will be getting ready to get on planes or start driving?? I have to admit I was expecting them in the dress blues so it will be odd to see everyone in the peanut butters - but I think my kid could come to graduation in his PT clothes and I would be just as proud! :) I can not wait!!! I have to go shopping this weekend for some cold weather clothes. I have sweaters, but they are for San Diego winters so I'm pretty sure they aren't going to stand up to and lake effect snow and winds. Plus they fit well pre-baby, but just don't fit quite as flatteringly anymore. :( Oh well - I'm not going to complain about shopping! Now I just need a red scarf!
