Quick update on Sarge's Meet & Greet.

Sarge will be having his Meet & Greet for every PIR.  He also wanted everyone to know that all Sailors will get a FREE meal of their choice at Trattoria-Pomigliano in Libertyville on the day of Graduation.  Sarge will go over all of this with at the Meet & Greet.

FTLW:  So strange that they have Div 905 in the PIR 12/16 group and 904 and 906 in the 12/29 group.  WHY????  Would have sure made more sense to have 904 in the 12/16 group and 905/906 in the next one.  That's the Navy for you!  It is done "their" way and we just go along for the ride!  :-)

Rhonda, I totally agree with the other moms on here.  GO to PIR!  We have had 3 sailors in our family and my son was the only one who had family at PIR (the other two were my brother and my daughter's fiance).  My brother has said for over 30 years that his biggest regret was that he told my parents not to come to PIR.  My daughter's fiance' has said that my son is so lucky to have us because we were there for him at PIR and have continued to support him.   His mom didn't go PIR AND.... never even wrote to him while in BC.  :(  She wasn't happy with his decision to join the Navy, so just let him know by those actions.  :(  I still feel badly that he had to go through BC without his family's support and wished that I had known him then, because I would have been there for him.

Yup on the RDC's reading the posts on this site!

OPSEC is a big deal ladies...I called RTC PAO office today because there was a boo-boo on the Graduating TG's. They almost started to answer my questions directly, caught themselves, asked if I had a recruit in the division and when I answered no and said who I was, stated that they would update the site.

The correction? They had the same division posted twice in two different TG's.

So, something that most would think, "no biggie" would have been a "release of information", since I do not have someone directly in BC or that particular division at this time.

We got a call yesterday, too... but I WASN"T HOME!!!!!  She didn't call me on my cell so I didn't get to talk to her, but she did leave a message on my husband's cell and on our home phone... CRYING  because we weren't there to talk  :-(  REALLY???? REAAAALLY????? My cell phone is always attached to my body 24/7 waiting for a call from her!!  She did ask that I fedex overnight her hair straightner (she had to get her hair cut the other day b/c it was at her shoulders again and they did a BAD job)- so I get to send her a note to arrive tomorrow along with her straightner letting her know to CALL MY CELL PHONE next time she calls home.  :-)

I AM VERY glad you got to talk to your SRs, 008 moms!!  :-)
