OPSEC, OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmust importance. Please take the time to read the Opsec and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names are never allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. Kendra:  Yes, the RDCs are very well aware of N4Moms and they DO read these pages.  So remember...this is a support group for all of the ladies on here...don't be terribly specific in posting what your SR wrote in a letter, and we always recommend that you not use your sailors' first names on here (last names are prohibited).  We N4Moms veterans have "stories to tell" of SRs being pulled to the computer by an RDC to see something that his/her mom posted!  Usually in good fun, but remember:  Your SRs do not want more attention brought to themselves!  Don't mean to scare anyone off...by any means...just save specific info for private messaging between one another.

It is ok to give schedule info, things like that.  NOT ok to post your SR's negative reaction to anything in bc!  We love the RDCs....truly do....because they do not have an easy job.  SRs arrive of all ages, different backgrounds, life experiences, expectations...and the RDCs' job is to get these SRs all on the "same page" and working as a team.  Would any of YOU want that job???  :-)They do it well....and you will see this on PIR day!

Yes Rhonda you should definitely go and take your whole family lol. Every recruit could have 8 guests and there would still be room for more :-)

I will be in and out today checking emails and messages. Right now I am finishing up some ribbons and then my oldest son and I are going to FINALLY put in my back splash in my kitchen. So happy to have it in before all my family comes home for Thanksgiving :-) I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Apparently RDC knows about N4Ms said he was gonna join us... LoL

navywife:  WAR EAGLE right back atcha!  Funny how many of "us" are around.  I was at Auburn when it was still a small hometown type of college...in the early 70's.  Was shocked to drive through there in 96 and see all of the changes, and I'm sure there are even more now.

I'm still wondering how a girl like me from Miami FL ended up at Auburn?  I was quite a novelty when there and sometimes felt kind of out of place...they told me I had a "yankee accent."  HA!  Miami students were very few and far between when I first started!

Macaroni:  There would be 80 total.  They lose/gain more back during bc.  Most start with around 88 or so, and then lose some.  Others from earlier PIR groups who were asmoed (setback) for any reason will join these divisions and replace some of their "lost" SRs.

Rhonda:  GO!  Definitely!  You will get in.  And..are there actually people he would replace your names with who would actually be coming?  Just remember, "extras" get in even though the Navy can't guarantee it.  So please go and surprise him.  RTC will probably tell you that you are only guaranteed entry if your SR has put you on the list--but that extras most likely will get in.  But listen to us N4Moms veterans on this one....GO!  You will get in!  There are only 4 divisions here!  I'm excited for you and hope you keep it as a surprise!  :-)

You know...there is NO actual significance to the buttons. There have been seven and fifteen at one time...thirteen is purely symmetrical design. I hear there is a fourteenth hidden somewhere!

My daughter said mom we are gonna wear our peanut butters... I look good in them but I look way better in the dress blues!!! Haha she's so cute! And that's so not her she's very shy and reserved!! Too cute!

@AZKmom: they were fitted for their dress blues 2 weeks ago. But some SR's do not have all the components of their uniform. My SR is still waiting on a shirt with longer sleeves!
Comment by Diana(PO3/IT3) on November 7, 2011 at 12:19am
@Rhonda: I wonder if you could call the RTC and let them know you are coming, as a surprise, and that your SR had listed you on the original invite. I think their number is someplace in all these discussions if you scroll down. One to the veteran moms posted it. Do you have the form letter your SR sent with your names on it? That may work as well if you are worried about getting in. Since our grad group is so small, I'm hearing space isn't as big an issue. They will seat guests on the formal list first. I have a feeling it probably won't be an issue for you. How exciting though - what a great surprise.....
