@ Diannep: 008 is integrated/coed, so I'm not sure if there are 80 total or 80 females & 80 males! I know my SR said there are 80 of them, but I didn't ask if that number included both females/males! Not sure!

@FTLW: I heard that those pants are not easy to get on! Plus a drawstring! I guess there is no way those are coming off! :). My SR said they remind you of the old -fashion PJ's you see on the western shows, where the square button flap is on the 'rear', but instead, the dress blues has the button flap in front!...I wonder why all the buttons? I know the dress white pants can be used as a flotation device (drawstrings on those 'bell-bottoms')!! :)

FTLW....yes that's what my son said, 13 buttons.  Apparently he must have his uniform.

Diannep:  I didn't realize I needed to give you a big ole "War Eagle!"  I was looking through the 12/2/11 PIR group trying to see if one of my son's friend's mom is on there.  He graduates with the 12/2/11 group.  I noticed the big "WAR EAGLE!" and had to laugh.  My husband was in NROTC there and we lived there for 3 years while he finished school.  Good memories!  Especially with last years football season

The girls uniform pants are different than the guys Dress Blues. Basically just regular dress pants.

diannep, that's a good way to look at it.

Glad you all are getting calls!

Well, your PIR piks will be very special since during the 2 yrs I have been on this site, I have never seen that for PIR--peanut butters for PIR.  So we will always know that it was the 11/23 group in the peanut butters!  They are a very nice looking uniform. Seems to me that they still have time to get the Blue uniforms though....after all, there are only 4 divisions in this PIR group.  That will probably only be about 200-300 sailors.

There are thirteen buttons in the men's pants...are the women's the same? It's best not to wait to use the restroom when wearing them!

Great Job 008!!!!!

so excited to hear they are totally succeeding!

I just found out about the uniform situation - a little disappointed as well - but I will take my sailor in any uniform - just as long as I can hug his neck!!!
