Hey, so I'm just wondering how everyone's getting there, when/where they're coming in, where they're staying, all that jazz - I know it's getting close to time, but I haven't made any carved-in-stone…Continue

There's a link for the Ramada Meet & Greet. I'm not sure how I found it, but I clicked on "Events" and then there's a calendar, so I clicked on Nov. 23rd, and there was the link. You can RSVP there. Probably an easier way to find it, but it works.

Hi, all
I was wondering if anyone knows if their sailors have gotten the letters we are sending yet? As far as the letters he has written it doesn't sound like it, This is just bumming me out , Oh and still No form letter yet, I cant believe how long this is taking verses my son in boot camp 8 weeks ago, WHAT A DIFFERENCE

I can't say it gets any easier when they are done with their BC and schooling and off to their duty station.Other then the added bonus of them having their cell phones back and internet connections. My other sailor has been in just over a year and I have only seen her 3 times and that is a lot compared to some families. You just learn to cherish the time you do have.

I am really missing my boy today. What is the deal? I just want to curl up in bed a sleep. Blah.

JM- That sounds so wonderful. I probably would start crying to see my sailors. I know your son will be very surprised.

Deneen-I am driving to GL too. A 13 hour drive. Getting there a day early so I can get things together for my son's dinner on Thanksgiving Day. I hope the weather is nice.

My daughter, who is currently stationed at NAS Whidbey Island, just let me know she will be surprising her brother at his PIR. That is so great both of my sailors, in uniform, at PIR. What could be better!!!

My younger daughter and I will be flying in from Seattle on Tuesday. We plan to be at the meet & greet, so I hope to meet all of you there. We've turned a corner and now we're all focusing on PIR instead of bootcamp. Darn, now you're all thinking about bootcamp again, huh? :)

Flying in from CA on Sunday. Have family in the area. we chose air trans and are flying into Milwakee. Non-stop was the cheapest from LAX.
