I wanted to welcome all the new Moms who have SR graduating on 11/24. It is definately an exciting ride and it is always nice to have others who will support you during the ups and downs. And since everyone is in the same situation you know that the feelings shared are familiar and understood.
I have a request for my recruit. He is at bootcamp with all of your recruits but he is currently on LLD waiting for a waiver. They sometimes have to watch what they say during their medicals because a simple statement can get blown out of porportion. For a kid who was very athletic since the age of 5 he is now sitting around waiting for the wheels to get moving again. I am just praying that things get cleared up soon.

I GOT THE LETTER TODAY!!!!!! I was excited but I did not cry. I was so happy to hear from him. He wrote a note telling us how he is adapting to military life. His PIR is 11/24 and his ship is 09 and div 007.

CC0727 - That is terrific. I wish I could stay longer, it just didn't work out for me. But at least on Saturday and Sunday the recruits who don't have family there will get to go do things together. I've heard that they go to the mall, etc in groups. Share taxi costs or take the train into chicago.

: ) i called the public affairs office that was listed in the form letter with the PIR date and they said that the Liberty days for the 11-24 PIR would be Wed - Sun with the normal Liberty hours (no overnights). I hope the info given is correct because that is AWESOME!!!!

Mary that's terrific. I know you were not looking forward to going alone. (I would be the same)

Lala Ribbon Queen - I know, only 5 divisions. That should help those who would like more than 4 to attend.

Mary - nothing yet. But there was no mail service yesterday so maybe today or later this week. I have heard that they have time to write on Sunday so it may be later this week. Are you still going alone? Or has your boyfriend managed to get time off.
