Sailor is in Florida now. Called me to ask if I would deposit money in his account. He wants to fly home at the end of the month but will only be home for about an hour. He and his girlfriend will be going back to Charlotte for the weekend. I guess I am helping with the flight and romantic weekend. LOL. Hope all is well with everyone.

Hello Sisters- I have not been on the site in sooooo long. My laptop was being repaired and I can't use my phone. I am glad to see that there is some activity. Hope everyone is doing fine.

Labmom- I am happy to hear your daughter will be close so you can visit her.

My sailor's girlfriend is flying out today to see him in Norfolk and he asked me if I wanted to join her. I really can't see me with them I know I would probably be left alone while they spend time together. I plan to go this summer.

My oldest son is trying to enlist now and he is getting impatient because obstacles keep getting in the way. I am praying that all goes well for him today because the Recruiter asked him to go into the office.

Well until next time. Hope all have a great Friday and weekend.

After serious & cautious consideration... Your contract of friendship has been renewed for the New Year 2012
It was a very hard decision to make... So try not to mess it up!!!
My Wish for You in 2012
May peace break into your home and may thieves come to steal your debts.
May the pockets of your jeans become a magnet for $100 bills.
May love stick to your face like Vaseline and may laughter assault your lips!
May happiness slap you across the face and may your tears be that of joy
May the problems you had, forget your home address!
In simple words .
May 2012 be the best year of your life!!!
Happy New Year!!

Yes they have. Louis left today and I was not happy but I did not cry this time so I guess I am getting better. Since dad thought that skiing was more important than seeing his daughter then that was his loss. I am sure she was very happy being with you laughing, shopping and drinking a lot of coffee. Those bonding times are priceless.

Happy New Year, ladies. I hope 2012 will be a wonderful year for you and your sailor.  My daughter came home on 12/16 and got to stay until 1/2/12.  She had planned to go see her dad, but he went skiing with his girlfriend instead (jerk!) so I got to have her the whole time. We had such a great visit, laughed a lot, shopped, drank a lot of coffee.  She's always been pretty level headed, but I noticed she has really matured in the last year. She'll be 20 in May so she's still young, but she seems to really have things figured out. I'm so proud of her. She's in C school in San Diego and will be moving to Coronado the end of January and will move up to E4.  My goodness our sailors have come a long way in a year, huh?

Happy New Year Sisters. I hope all had a wonderful holiday season. Louis is here now and we had a wonderful Christmas Dec. 27th when he arrived home. When he leaves next week, he won't be back on land until May. Looks like I will be taking a road trip in May.

Merry Christmas to my Navy Sisters.

Hello Sisters,

My Sailor said that he would be home on the 27th so that is when I will prepare a big feast. Hope all is well with everyone.

Andrea-So happy to hear you will have your Sailor for a while. Mine will not be deployed until next year but I am still not looking forward to it.

Labmom - I lost my mom three years ago, almost to the day.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.  It's difficult to lose a parent, but doubly so during the holidays.  Star Child - I love the poem. It made me teary. My daughter has not been deployed yet, but her time is coming, I'm sure.  She will be coming home tonight and will be here two weeks, although she plans to head to Eastern Washington to see her dad, brother, sister-in-law and the kids, weather permitting.  Ladies - for those of you who have sailors coming home for the holidays, enjoy your precious time with them. For those who do not, consider yourselves "e-hugged". Hopefully, you will see your sailor soon. Have a wonderful holiday.
