Andrew grads "Ground Intel next week and received his duty station. He will stay in Dam Neck for the next 2 years. He gets married in 2 weeks. As I work on the wedding plans I keep asking myself what happened to my little boy.

Happy Early Mother's Day Everybody!!

A Newborn’s Conversation with God

A baby asked God, “They tell me You are sending me to Earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?”

God said, “Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you.”

The child further inquired, “But tell me, here in Heaven I don’t have to do anything but sing and smile to happy.”

God said, “Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you.”

Again the small child asked, “And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don’t know the language?”

God said, “Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak.”

“What am I going to do when I want to talk to You?”

God said, “Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray.”

“Who will protect me?”

God said, “Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life.”

“But I will be sad because I will not see You anymore.”

God said, “Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you.”

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, “God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel’s name.”

God said, “You will simply call her, Mom.”

Well I don't know if I am up or down. Louis text or texted (which one is it?) me Monday and told me that he will be working 6 on and 6 off and then going underway for a few days. Deployment soon but don't know when. At least he will be back in two weeks. No contact again. I feel like I am at boot camp!!!

I have some good news!! I am now a Certified Internet & Child Safety Advocate. I will be volunteering at churches, schools or any place that will have me educating community leaders, parents and their children about cyber bullying, online predators and sexting. I decided to do this because one of my students (third grade) took pics of himself and was showing them to his classmates. He had a phone that was not in service but the camera still worked. This is happening to our children too often and they do not know the legal ramifications for their actions. His parents were devastated and so embarrassed when they had to meet and discuss the situation. The other reason I decided to become an Advocate is I am already an Advocate for my students at school and I don't mind going out on a limb for them and their parents when no one else will. So my passion for children ventured out of the school and into the community. I have already met with several law enforcement individuals and they are guiding me in the direction I need to go. I will keep you posted.

well Louis is back in Norfolk. I couldn't take him to the airport because I didn't want him to see me cry but he told me that he had already paid for a flight to come back for Carolina's graduation. I spend some time with him but not much so I did not go to work one day. We had a nice time lying around and watching old football videos when he was in middle school. He did not have enough time to visit everyone but he did go to my school. He asked me not to walk around the school and do 'Show and Tell' with him.ha! Well that is EXACTLY what I did.

Andrea-of course she would miss you. You are MOMMY! That visit was something she needed and now she can move on.

Linda-so happy to for you. You will be so happy and sad at the same time. That roller coaster ride is a b****!

Bubbymom-I will tell Vincent why he has not heard from you lately. I know he has been sad not hearing from you:) San Diego in August, huh? Keep me posted on that one.

Hope all of my Sisters have a wonderful Easter.

StarChild - I'm so glad you finally met up with your son. I hope you had a wonderful visit.

My youngest daughter survived her visit with her dad. It went pretty much as expected and unfortunately he hasn't changed. She is still not a priority in his life. :( But, she did get to spend a couple days with her half-brother, wife and their kids (2 and 4 yrs old) and loved it. Overall, she was glad to be home and SHE MISSED ME. My oldest daughter, the sailor, is still in GL but has finished her ATT and started A School. She's hoping to finish by early-Fall. Then she will await orders. We don't know whether she will go on to C School or enter the fleet.

Take care, ladies, and have a wonderful Easter!!
