Hello all congrats on having your son home starchild! Nikki is coming in sunday for a week so next week will be pretty amazing here also! She got her orders and will be going to san diego and will be on the USS Ronald Reagan. I am so proud of her for getting this all done finally and now she can really start her career. She is very excited and cant wait to come home for the visit and then go to california.
Hello All, Just came by to tell you that my sailor will be home Fri. I will not know where his flight will land-Columbia, Charlotte or Charleston. Navy is diverting his flight home on his way to Norfolk. He told me that he would know tomorrow evening. I told my principal that I may or may not be at work Fri AND I may or may not be at work next Fri. I think he knows I may not be at work!!! Really excited to see him. He said that he may do the RAP program. From my understanding he will be working with the Navy Recruiter's office next week. He has to report to Norfolk on the 22nd. I was hoping it would rain again because he car is dirty and I don't feel like washing it. Plus I have to take all of my things out of the car. DANG!! Looks like I will be cooking daily which is something I have not been doing either. I know my family will be happy to get cooking from me because I have been asking them to have supper done when I get home. HA!
Bubbymom-he is volunteering to go to Japan!! NO! That is wonderful that he wants to help out but please stay home and help out USA.
Shana- My sailor wanted to go to another country and I don't think they are thinking about us when they make those decisions. I wish him all the best but I wish he would stay in the states. Hopefully he will meet up with my sailor since he will be in Norfolk as well.
JM-WHEW!! sounds like you guys will be very busy for awhile but it is a beautiful occasion. I know you will have a box of tissue handy.
after A school....my boy is going to Norfolk,Va for 3 yrs....im glad hes gona stay in the US for the time being !!!!!
Hi Ladies,
Hey Shana, welcome back! Congrats to Kacey. Doing well, we try to keep in touch ever so often...it's good to hear from you. Hope he gets good choices...Andrea, all will go well. God has HIS hands in it...you are rearing her to make "better" choices. Our young people sometimes dont remember our pains. Their love is so genuine and the desire for that father/daughter relationship is always there. Good you allowing her to go shows her that you not only care about her feelings towards her father but are allowing her to judge him based on the present and not the past. Cudos to you mom, I know that's difficult...
Starchild...cutting pay..didnt hear that one...they barely are paid now. Glad it didnt happen with the government shutdown. I was praying hard on that one...no family needs that added stress...especially when it can be prevented. Keep praying for our young men and women to come home.
Local soldier in the US Army was killed in Afganistan. Sgt. Hudgins..was an awesome young man..took up boxing in the army and had great potential to go to the olympics. God please bring our young people home "alive" soon.
Take care ladies...
My son said something about going to Japan to help out with the earthquakes. They are asking for volunteers for now...lift all those people in Japan up in prayer..there was another earthquake this morning if I'm not mistaken. Lord give them strength.
