Hey, so I'm just wondering how everyone's getting there, when/where they're coming in, where they're staying, all that jazz - I know it's getting close to time, but I haven't made any carved-in-stone…Continue

TrackerMom: The long private shower after PIR for my son was one of his fav things! Mine just wanted to "hang out" and ride around, seeing the surrounding area that he had been in for 8 weeks but had never seen. Very low key. Others want to do lots of stuff! So just let your sailor do the choosing!

Got letters and a phone call from my boy...so good to hear his voice, I just wish he could've called when I was at home so his dad could be on the phone too. He sounds good, but still struggling with the home sickness a bit. He passed his swim quals and says he's section leader - he said that's stressful. He was supposed to get wisdom teeth pulled too but he was told they will be pulled at A school. I think the time with him at graduation will be best spent doing things he can't do now - like a LONG private shower! Can't wait to see him and to meet you other moms!!

Thanks JM donuts and cookies, that will get my son there everytime....smile. I pray he's going to church. Two Navy retirees told me "if they didnt know God before boot camp they found Him while they were there". Two different people in different parts of the US said that on the same day. I had to laugh...to me that was God's way of saying mom dont worry your son is praying.....

Just know that today was a day of some rest for your recruits. A chance to write letters, go to church (were the RDC's aren't allowed) some go for the donuts and cookies but all are welcome. My son is one of the RPO's that helps out.

Deneen-I have not received a letter nor a call. We can not give up. I know what you mean by saying that. If we say 'I give up' we pretend we are not thinking about it but we really are. Diannp is right. We will get it when we least expect it.
I can feel my nerves unraveling and my heart beating faster. Anxiety!!! I felt the same way when I hadn't received the form letter and when I got it I was on top of the world. But I can say that I feel better that someone is going through what I am. Thank goodness for N4M.
