Michelle, I would guess that is why things seem to be "running late". You may also find things "out of order" from what others are doing. For example, every other division may do something on week 4 day 4, but you hear yours did it on week 3 day 5, don't let it confuse you keep counting the same weeks and days you have been given. It doesn't happen a lot, but it can.
If phone calls are allowed (like FTLW said) being push didn't seem to change when they came. I got the I am here call, a 2 1/2 minute call at three weeks (started out for all to be an hour), then the "I didn't pass BS..only joking call" (yes, he told me he didn't make it even though he did)after BS.
Calls can come at any time...usually unless it is a Security Info call...you won't see a first real call until Training week 3. Either at the begininning of it or sometime during or the end of it.
I got my first real call at the beginning of it after they had earned one as all had done well on their first academic test (end of week two). Then I got another the next week for the "I'm still alive" call.
Individual calls may be earned in BC as well for excelling in an area. RDC's discretion :-)
psshhhh what a relief I was starting to panic for a little bit there! :) Is that why we are just starting to get their letters now? Will we also receive our calls later then expected too?
When they are put on p hold they still have things to do. They study and have physical fitness (light) etc, they are not just hanging out. :)
P-hold is generally because they are waiting for the division to fill. If it is an integrated division they may be waiting for enough females to arrive (males usually are not an issue). It is not unusual for the last two divisions end up being a push division, meaning they have less training time to finish everything. No worries they'll finish on time!
When my son arrived his expected date for PIR was a week later than what it ended up being. He arrived on a Wednesday and typically should have been in one of the first divisions for the following TG, but both his division and brother division (division before his) were integrated, and lacking 60 females so they waited.
While they waited for the females to arrive, the next two divisions in the following TG were started (first one non integrated) . My sons division, and brother division, started training the day before the first two divisions of the following TG started, but my sons BS date was just shy of a full training week ahead of the next two divisions BS date. (hope that all made sense, I tend to talk in circles :) )
So depending on how long they are in p hold, they can end up "push", but again no worries, they will finish on time.
yeah they were in processing or waiting to process for longer than usual. we got our form letters with the PIR date so the only way that changes is if they call and say it does.
but acording to where my sons letters he didn't start training days till the 16th or 17th and he got there the 4th. Processing usually takes 4 to 5 days so i just wondered what he did for the other several days he was there
Yes they'll still graduate on time, Michelle. Just means they didn't start actual "bootcamp" until a bit later.
My husband is in that Div, he's in Div 29, what does being on hold mean???? Will they still graduate on time????
so it sounds like the guys from 29/30 were on hold for a while. does anyone know what they do when they are on p-hold? I can't imagine they were just hanging out?
what a cute picture diannep :)
continued prayers sent their way
