OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

So right now I am seeing:

Regular Divisions 19-26

SPECOP  801-802

"Performing" 903

We are up to 11 Divisions!

19-26 will pair up by twos consecutively as Brother Divisions and the two 800's will be Brother Divisions.

Folks - I know the waiting is hard...please make sure you take care of yourselves. I know very well how easy it is to "worry" yourself sick...diannep has "scolded" me several times for it! (thank goodness!)

Diz - You are one of the lucky ones that got an early letter. I am seeing it almost every PIR group now. Congrats!

SHIP 02, DIV. 903; PIR 11/30/2012  SO EXCITED!! Finally received 2 letters, one form, second actual letter from son telling me all is good and food is good and for me not to worry.  And that he just really wants to hear from me.  This is good since t has been  quite difficult for me, not him.  There is always so much i want to say to him and now I have learned I just need to love him and encourage him and let him make his way.  Never had these issues with my 2 oldest. He is an amazing young man and dares to do what I could never.
