OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Not yet. My daughter told me between 5 & 6. I'm guessing she meant Chicago time. At least I hope that is what she meant.

RTC FB has posted non-intergrated Captains Cup winner is 801, integrated winner is 019. HOOYAH!

Comment by diannep on November 26, 2012 at 9:20am

morninglory:  Captains Cup was on Friday.  We heard that 801 was one of the winners, but there would have been at least one more (integrated--male/female division).  There is a motivational chant winner also, but that sometimes can be won by the male or integrated winner as well.  Sometimes RTC FB will post the winners so be checking that.

Ok.....sooo.....the info I got was that 801/019/020 went either Saturday night or last night through BattleStations.  So.....calls can start as early as 2 pm GL time today.  They can go for quite some time.  I would keep phones handy all day though....if they did go on Saturday night, it is possible the calls will come in earlier than that.  Be checking their FBs too as some can get on the computers before they can call.

Please ask you sailors if all in the division passed and post the div # and that info because some new sailors will have watch and may not get to call home today--would help their families to know that they passed.  Be sure to ask which night they went through.  If they went Saturday night rather than Sunday night, that will be a possibility for future PIR groups so I would like to know that for future schedule info.

Excited for you all to receive calls from your new sailors today!  HOOYAH!

When I saw my Sailor Thurs. she told me BS dates for 903 if anyone still doesn't know.  Also, has anyone heard anything about Captains Cup?

If there are I'm a Sailor calls tomorrow, please ask your new sailors if they did BattleStations on Saturday night or Sunday night.  There has been some confusion on that.  Although they have never done BattleStations on Saturday nights before, we know there are "changes" being made at RTC....and we never say never!  So please ask them which night they went through and post that.  Thanks!

Lala:  Yes, the sailors showing up to decorate their house for Christmas was amazing. And it looked so beautiful!  His parents are dear friends of mine, but divorced 20 years ago.  It is amazing how they operate so well as a family during times like these though--and even during family celebrations.....this is one very special family!

Yep, Cor:  I went back through my notes and saw where they did that for the PIR 03/16/2012 group.  I had forgotten about that.  Thanks!  It must be something they do occasionally with the 800 groups then.  And, yes, FTLW.....sigh....the changes do create some problems with us keeping things straight!  :-)

Thanks so much for the blessings/strength for Brett.  Praying now that he will leave the hospital on Friday and head to the big Navy Rehab in Tampa...which means that he won't be with his wife.....sigh.....and won't be present for the birth of his baby girl.  But we are thankful for all of the blessings that he has received!

Awesome update on Brett, thanks Diannep, I always need a box of tissues when reading about the updates, his dad is an amazing well spoken man and how their Navy family is stepping in to do things for them is just AWESOME!!!

I hope everyone is staying warm. We had the coldest morning of the whole year today include Jan and Feb. It was a nice crisp 23 degrees here in southern NC. I need to win the lottery so I can retire and move south to where it tee shirts and shorts weather year round. Diannep, clean out the spare room lol :)
