OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

My son arrived at Great Lakes 1Oct. Got the I'm here call that night. The box came last Thursday. Still no letter! His recruiter did get me an address (hope it is correct), ship 12 div 023, so I'm hoping his PIR is 30 Nov. Anybody else not get their letter yet?

I just received the form letter. Lots of little notes written on it. She's having a great time and is in a "Push Division". I think that means she'll be there one less week. Anyone know??

Well good to know!  Thanks Sierra!  Hopefully our letters find their way to our sons!

Just got off the phone with my sons recruitor. I asked him to look into the Ship and Division my son is in.   He said what he see's that there is an error.  My son should be in Ship 04 Div 802. Not Ship 02

I think this is my sons PIR date. HE arrived at Great Lakes Oct 2 for bc, he is in the NUKE program. I have not yet received anything from him or the form letter. Is this the norm? I haven't a clue how any of this works. I have gone to the recruiters office 4 times on 4 different days & they weren't there so I could ask questions.

We had an all female Division a while back as the W.A.V.E.S sponsored them. It was Division 317 PIR 10/05/2012. It is not a common occurance. First I have seen in the year and a half I have been on.

It was in July as that was the 70th Anniversary of the W.A.V.E.S.

BUT it could happen again! Guess we'll find out!

Usually there are some integrated Divisions and they are Brother Divisions. The 900 Divisions are integrated.
