WELCOME TO PIR 11/20/2012

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

I haven't heard anything about a 12/7/12 PIR yet, so I'm still hoping my son squeaked into 801 or 802 for 11/30/12

Fingers crossed....  and I LIKE this group.

sjtina, thanks for jumping in early. :)

This PIR date came up fast, but the info on it is coming in slow and "jumpy". It was unusual to hear from the 801 division first, and then we saw division 025!

We went Surprise  What happened to 019-024?

Then we got division 903, and still no 019-024?Shocked

Then it was 021 and 022 and we thought here they come!!! Dancing penguin

Then we saw 802, another spec ops, and still no "regular" divisions.

Where are the rest of them? Crying girl

Then incoming 021/022. back to the happy dance Clicking Your Heels

Still waiting on 019/020 and 023/024, so if any of you have SRs are in those divisions let us know so we can go Woohoo and get  the rest of this PIR groups party started.

Thank you ellen~ I know you know how invaluable this is to all of this.  You are appreciated!  (and sjtina too ;) )

Thanks ellen. I usually jump in later after the discussion start. I am always late for everything, so this is new to me lol

Division discussions will be started either this weekend or early next week. So far it looks like there are 11 divisions with this PIR date. Once we have a more concrete idea, or are pretty dagum sure :) we will get them opened for you.

If anyone here has SRs in divisions 019/020 or 023/024 could you please post the ship number?

We received our daughters box but still no form letter. Hopefully tomorrow...
Anyone know how the recruits get to vote in the election? This will be my daughters first opportunity to vote & I know she was looking forward to it.

Yes FTLW, I guess we have two 800  divisions this time.  I'm not  sure if that's a good thing or bad~maybe they fill up quicker to head to SD?  Yes countrymom, I think your right.  My son turns 18 the week before PIR.  So focused on his future adventures.  I will be there with you in Chicago, making reservations tonight~ love the air fare specials :).  Welcome everyone~ the fun of meeting new friends makes all of this an adventure for us too.

JackFlash>  ellen will open the Discussion Forum above soon.  We like to wait a little while so you all aren't so overwhelmed with too much info.  Once it is open, she will have discussion groups set up for the brother divisions where you all can get to know each other better.  She is waiting for more of the form letters to come in so that all know their division numbers.

So hang in there...the discussion groups will arrive shortly!
